What a brilliant B&B this is. We had two double rooms and they are so well equipped you could self cater if you wanted - microwave, fridge, plates, bowls and utensils etc. We paid for breakfast and it was lovely and so nice to have the chance to chat with Beaula who was our host. Stunning home with really well thought out guest accomodation. Lovely pool, patio and guest lounge area. This place is perfectly located for the Bettys Bay Penguin colony and Harold Porter Botanical Gardens. Helene recommended the Sitar restaurant which provided one of the best meals we had in our whole SA stay.

The pictures doesn't do this place justice. It is so gorgeous! And a great location.
The farm is beautiful and so quiet. I stayed for a week, and parked my car and only got back in when I left. But there is plenty to do in the area if you want. Long walking trails in the beautiful reserve area is a must.
Lea is a wonderful host and I immediately felt like part of the family :)
I could stay in the Traditional cottage forever if that was even an option! And very tastefully decorated.
I will most definitely be back.

We stayed in a room above the brewery and it was delighful. Charming with a vintage feel and a nice old village style. The room was spacious, clean and pretty quiet (even if it faces the street). Stopping in Greyton during our road trip was a great idea, the town is quaint and the restaurants and shops are all so pretty. The Old Potters Inn waa the perfect spot to spend the night and enjoy a good beer, walk around and visit the Saturday morning market!

Kleinmond it’s nice place to visit as a holiday destination, the place is very quiet and clean. Guest must bring all supplies they need to avoid get in and out because shops are a bit of a distance of 2km and restaurants are very closer if you like to eat out

Betty's Bay is home to Stony Point Penguin Colony which for...
Betty's Bay is home to Stony Point Penguin Colony which for me the best in the south cape in terms of lack of crowds and accessible viewing of the penguins. I suggest you get to the colony BEFORE it opens (parking lot is open) and AFTER it closes as that's when the penguins "reclaim" their area and start walking around.
The area also boasts Harold Porter Nat'l Botanical Garden - sort of a mini Kirstenbosch with lots of trails and fynbos - which in turn hosts lots of birds. Again it is less crowded than Kirstenbosch,

The rock pools and Victoria bath, and the Zen garden are fantastic. I cant rate the spa as i did not use it this time. The sauna was out of order and the steam room needs a makeover. The Black Sheep restaurant is a bit pricy, Da Vinci’s is good value for money. The low boundary walls along the rock pools could do with a fresh coat of paint.

Greyton is attractive especially if you take time to walk down side roads and explore its natural beauty. For the most part it is tranquil, but it can get quite busy at times in the upper half of the main hub. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from of varying standards. Given that it is just a little upmarket village, it is not unusual that there are hardly any shops for necessities or niceties. In light of that, the OK Minimart is pretty decent though. Be warned, there are no clothes shops (except for second hand clothing). So if you have forgotten something, you can look forward to a long, long trip to Calendon! On the whole, a tranquil picturesque village that is well worth a visit.

We were here for the False Bay 50km Ultra Marathon.
We were here for the False Bay 50km Ultra Marathon. Pringle Bay is a charming village, peaceful and friendly and along the marathon route.
Unfortunately, the weather was extremely windy the day before and gusty and wet on marathon day, which detracted from the event and did not present ideal conditions for a beach visit.

The scenery was beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained. We had a wonderful stay and created lovely memories as a family. We will definitely visit again!

The venue was lovely and the setting beautiful. The cottage was really well appointed and it had everything that we could possibly need to make the weekend a great one. The heated under blankets and fireplace in the lounge was a bonus at the weather was freezing. The little touches of lemons, fresh eggs and freshly made biscuits added to the enjoyment.

Loved the area and the Elgin market.
Loved the area and the Elgin market. Alot of good wine farm however most are closeon a Monday. We went to a few that was closed but we're still allowed to enter and take pics.All the staff at the various winefarms could suggest to us where to get the full experience on the Monday. The hostess at Paul Cluver wine tasting was so well informed and professional. People love what the do. Very good experience all round

What a wonderful experience to stay at Hartebeesrivier.
What a wonderful experience to stay at Hartebeesrivier. The directions were spot on and my small car made it comfortably even on the dirt roads. It was a beautiful drive through farmlands. On arrival, I was delighted to see first world amenities (wi-fi, TV, comfortable beds with high-quality bedding, plush towels and everything you need in the kitchen). There are two bedrooms with double beds - and a cot for those who might need it, together with a full bathroom downstairs. There is also a loft room upstairs with one double bed and two single beds and another bathroom. The cherry on top is that there is both a hot "jacuzzi" (kol kol) and a cold small swimming pool close to the undercover braai outside. We took walks around the farmlands and took great pictures. Two nights was a bit short but we did all return home relaxed and restored. I highly recommend this venue.

Rooi Els is a tiny, out-of-the-way-, upmarket holiday village in the beautiful Overstrand. Only one hour from Cape Town International airport, the Cape winelands, and the beautiful town of Hermanus. Surrounded by the incredible natural beauty of the Cape fold mountains and the Cape Fynbos vegetation.. A surprising number of excellent restaurants in both Rooi Els and the nearby Pringle Bay.
