We loved the small touches. The electric blankets, the kitchen was well stocked, the hot tub (including the valuable instructions!), the shop and the staff.
It is so private and the perfect place to relax.

It is in a very good wine growing area and has many places...
It is in a very good wine growing area and has many places to visit. There are many good restaurants, some farmstalls and lots of places to stay. The people are very friendly and accommodating. We had a great pizza at Van Lovern Wine Farm restaurant after a wine tasting and a superb five-star meal at Kappokbos restaurant on Weltevrede in Bonnievale, the next wine area, a few miles away. A superb wine tasting at De Wetshof and another one at Kranskop. The Nursery in Robertson town is very good. NB Many places are closed on a Sunday.

McGregor is a small town in a beautiful part of the country.
McGregor is a small town in a beautiful part of the country. There are many wine farms in the area and lovely restaurants and gift shops. The people are friendly and helpful, and we can recommend a stop at Jimmy's for something to eat and drink. We stayed at The Bean Tree, which is a lovely self-catering guesthouse on the edge of town. The peaceful surroundings certainly is a wonderful getaway from city life.

A quaint little town with all the amenities.
A quaint little town with all the amenities. 'Tim Jan' store and the 'Cheese factory shop' on the outskirts of the town are a must for those few things you may have forgotten. browsing the secondhand shops was also a rewarding experience.
The only 'negative' we arrived on a public holiday early in the morning and there was no place where we could have a cup of coffee... something to consider for the 'early morning' arrivals. This however did not detract from the overall 'Bonnievale' experience :)

A quiet town between Robertson and Montagu, surrounded by...
A quiet town between Robertson and Montagu, surrounded by vinyards and orchards. Shopping and dining within 10 to 20 minutes of scenic driving. Montagu had a lovely, intimate market, selling home made jams, preserves, cakes, clothing and some brick a brac. Robertson had live music and delicious meals at Bourbon Street restaurant, on the main road. Beautiful historic buildings and wine farms close by. Don't forget to by wine!

Im a avid angler and this place met up to my expectations, 3 night stay over 30 carp best one 10ks+,should put more enthesis on angling. Can be a bit of a childrens playground but you can get away from that. Mid week in school time perfect.

Robertson itself is a quaint little town just after Worcester, and one of those places that is so easily passed over — but perhaps that is exactly what makes it so special.
There are little specialist farms, beautiful vineyards and so many unexpected places to discover. I absolutely love it!

McGregor is a quaint village that is close to wine farms, the Robertson train experience and the Vrolijkheid nature reserve with bird hides on dams and pleasant walks. It is well-served with interesting shops, small supermarkets and good restaurants, notably The Courtyard restaurant. There is a lot of good accommodation offered.

The cabins were fine. Idyllic spot . We had a nasty incident where there was a man on the property pretending to be the manager, but turned out to be a con man and a thief. We had to call a security company. Very unnerving. No sign of the owner's, no apology.security needs to be jacked up,

There is lots to do in Robertson - Platform 62 in Ashton has...
There is lots to do in Robertson - Platform 62 in Ashton has great wine tasting and shopping, there are lots of art galleries and plenty of excellent restaurants. The steam train experience is amazing. We love going to the cactus nursery, the spa at the Small Hotel, and Owl's rest for lavender and olive products. There are many malls for the essentials and interesting wine farms around. Just a hop skip and a jump away from interesting things to do in McGregor too. But be warned - Sundays and public holidays are limited as many places are closed.
