The staff were so friendly and helpful, some have excellent English language skills, and others would make extraordinary effort using translation apps. The location on the lake is stunning, and the pick-up from the train station was extremely convenient.

Positioned along Taohua River, Secret Courtyard Resort Hotel boasts a Chinese-style courtyard and is located in Lujia Village, just 2 km from downtown Guilin. Surrounded by mountains and waters, the property offers quiet accommodation and peaceful ambience where you may easily relax. The host was incredibly friendly, professional, and generous. He offered free watermelon every evening, provided complimentary e-bikes, free laundry service, and a delicious free breakfast. He also responded quickly to my visa document requests over email. Overall, the best and most thoughtful host I’ve ever stayed with!

Li River Resort is situated on the west bank of Li River and offers a relaxing retreat in Chinese-style accommodation. Offering sweeping views of Li River and Karst mountains, it features free Wi-Fi in all areas. Free public parking is also available on site. Very Clean and the friendly staff is speaking English really well and are always there to help, we rented the electric scooters for 2 days which was fantastic to do sightseeing to Moon Hill and Xianggong Shan (don’t forget to charge)

Their rooms are clean, tasteful, affordable & modern with the most picturesque view of the fields and mountains. The most impressive of our stay is the hostel owner and staff’s hospitality—- they are extremely attentive , offering full concierge service— from booking any tickets to nearby attractions and shows, to driving and guiding you around town, and would even turn on the heater or AC of your room ahead of your return. This 5 star treatment, along with the affordable yet beautiful room made our stay extremely enjoyable, I would most definitely recommend to all my friends and family visiting Yangshuo. The staff - Like Mark Ma - were attentive and so professional and went out of their way to provide tips on where and what to do in both. The location was perfect and close to all the main tourist sites. The room was amazing and had a perfect view of some of the mountains.

The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, evening entertainment and a kids' club. Million dollar view on the property! Close to Xianggong Mountain that we went for the sunrise and the panoramic view of the Li River (you pay for the ride). The owner is very knowledgeable about her profession (geologist) and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They provide free pickup and drop off at the ferry (ferry is 5 RMB each way) and at the railway station as well. If you want to take a break after a busy trip and enjoy the comfort in a very nice surroundings, this is the place! The property itself is a little museum.

Located in Guilin in the Guangxi Region, 300 metres from Reed Flute Cave, Peach Blossom Resort Hotel boasts a barbecue, children's playground and sun terrace. Both free WiFi and free private parking are available at this property. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. A wonderful staff member collected us from the train station and provided us with water on arrival. We arrived before check in time, however the staff member brought out fruit for our children whilst we waited. They then also carried out bags up to our room for us also. Our room was incredible. The views from the room were beautiful and the room it's self was very spacious and clean. Beds were very comfy also. The balcony was wonderful with lovely seating. The bath overlooking the mountains was wonderful, our children particularly enjoyed this. Breakfast throughout our stay was delicious and freshly cooked with a lovely variety. On our final morning we heading down for breakfast- it was very heavy rain. We were met at the door to the rooms by a staff member with umbrellas and again they helped with our bags. Staff helped us book a driver for the day so we could visit longji rice terraces. They also offered advice on other areas when asked, and gave us some good tips etc. The reed flute caves are within walking distance from the hotel, elephants trunk and the sun and moon pagodas are around 20mins drive away. Longji rice terraces and Yangshuo are about 2 hours drive away. However with a driver booked for the day these trips are made far easier! We did it with 2 young children who also found it wonderful! This is a beautiful hotel, the attention to detail, hard work and hospitality is incredible. Felt like a home from home! We really hope to return in the future and our only regret would be not booking to stay longer this time!

Rooms are clean and tidy, food very delicious and there is a swimming pool for relaxing afternoon. Hotel staff are very polite and ready for any help, surarounding is beatiful specially sunset place that is 10min by walk, in the same time you can enjoy with cup of coffee or tea. Beside riding bike or e-bike hotel can provide cooking classes that we enjoyed a lot. Highly recommended for family traveling.
