I will start by saying that ramlal and his family are the most hospitable and helpful people I have ever had the fortune of meeting. Without them, the incredible time we had in bandhavgarh would never have been possible. The property is located in the buffer zone between town and jungle which gives the amazing feeling of relaxation and adventure within a safe and comfortable environment. The rooms are very clean and well prepared. A comfortable bed, inviting sitting area out front and hot showers are a luxury so far away from most modern conveniences. The food, prepared and cooked by ramlal and his family are more delicious than most restaurant's I have eaten in. On top of this, we were ferried to and from the safari booking area and then guided through everything which would have been impossible on our own. Coming here with transport is advised. In short, Ramlal went above and beyond in every aspect of running the grounds. He truly is one of a kind and we cannot thank him and those who work with him enough for all their help. We would highly recommend Wildlife Retreat Bandhavgarh to any and everyone interested in seeing tigers and all of the other amazing wildlife. (We were lucky enough to see a tiger and it was an incredible moment for us, as well as many other fascinating and beautiful animals)

Ram had contacted me already before about the tiger safaris and was incredibly accommodating with all our wishes. In the end he managed to book us last minute tours to all the core zones and we had amazing sightings. Ram and his wife are so welcoming and kind which really shows in their staff too. Everybody was so kind and helpful. The food was delicious and the kitchen staff made sure there was plenty of fruit available for every meal for my kids. Our favorite was tea time around a fire before every dinner with homemade samosas and lots of cookies. The resort is huge with lots of different places to hang out. We loved the ping pong table in the air conditioned games room. I can only recommend staying here and if we are ever lucky enough to come back we definitely will.

The food is generally decent and staff were all very helpful. They have a pool (we didn’t use) and a pool table (we ended up playing every time we went by the entrance). They can also arrange for the safari and if you book private safari, there is a pick up and drop as well, which is quite convenient.
