Dear fellow traveler, With the utmost sincerity I urge you to visit the Coorg Wilderness Resort and Spa because it is simply amazing, down to the smallest details. We arrived after dark and out of the jungle rose massive iron gates with side lights, and we were inspected by security - this felt very Crazy Rich Asians. We were met at the roundabout by Aswathi who facilitated the rest of our checkin. We received a blessing, were led to a couch, and received a cup of ginger tea before she went over the stay and amenities with us. We were shown to our suite, which was beautifully appointed in every way. Simply luxurious. You will not want for anything, there is something to occupy every visitor, even the pickiest among you - even our 15 year old daughter. The food in the restaurant is outstanding, a feast for the eyes and the palette. Daily there are many activities offered. Our favorites were morning bird watching, rooftop yoga, and a wilderness walk. The latter was led by Jagath who knows much about the local flora and fauna, and was infinitely patient with our many questions. We met other of Jagath”s colleagues, Harish, and jithesh, who operate the sustainable farm. We were offered the opportunity to select our own poultry for dinner…a rare option in our experience. The farm provides produce and meat to the kitchen and the results are unbeatable. So fellow traveler, this resort is most certainly worth your time for a visit.

The property is spectacular. The staff are incredible in their delivery of service and hospitality. The food is excellent too.

Free Wi-Fi access is provided. Excellent bungalows, very clean, and pristine forest and plantation surroundings. Most memorable is the staff and how we were treated - simply outstanding and helpful.

All rooms will provide guests with a wardrobe and a kettle. We stayed with my aged parents and children. And both generation had wonderful stay. Food was excellent and the staff was ever smiling.

Great ambience, food was awesome, their service was exceptional as well. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. The environment was pleasant and welcoming. Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled and easy. High quality rooms and high quality service. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was spacious and clean. This place has left the best impressions. Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide wine list. The best stay ever. At the resort each room is equipped with air conditioning, a wardrobe, a balcony with a river view, a private bathroom and a flat-screen TV. Location was superb.. Close to the river bank. Food served with homely touch. Ambience was unmatched, and given a feel of independent feel. Staff was friendly and coordial.

The rooms at Machaan Wilderness Lodge Nagarahole have air conditioning and a desk. The staff was incredibly hospitable and kind. Thank you especially Panish & Gowtham, for making our stay memorable! They made you feel most welcome and did everything to improve the stay. For example; we arrived just after the pool closed down, but they re-opened it just for us. They made a bonfire, just for us. We got a lunch on the day we were leaving even though technically that was not included. Very kind and attentive people. The Lodge itself was beautiful, very nice views (see picture), lots of wildlife and birds. Among many birds, we saw the gliding squirrel and the gliding dragon lizard. They staff (of which they had a few wildlife experts!) offered two different walks; one in the evening and one during the day. The food the lodge offered was amazing. The rooms spacious and clean. We also went on a safari in the nature park nearby, where we spotted lots of the local wildlife.
