Lavishly decorated and furnished, it was the exotic experience of a lifetime, not to be missed. Our room was hand painted ceiling to floor, an absolute wonder that should really be in a museum. Pretty comfortable beds with electric heaters. The staff was very helpful and we had good conversations with them in English sitting on the houseboat's patio, watching the chickara boats pass by.

Mr. Shahid, the owner was around and he personally showed us around. He booked us a reliable cab for site seeing. The houseboat itself has all the basic necessities that one may need for the stay. The breakfast and meals were simple but delicious and were served hot and with a lot of love. Mr Zahir, the caretaker was brilliant, and was always prompt with anything we asked. The location is brilliant for local site seeing.
