The rooms are huge with big bathrooms, a roof safe, balcony where we took out our chairs and table. Best bed in terms of comfort, pillows and linen that I have slept in so far in my 5 week trip around South East Asia. Everything felt like it was new, including the curtains. Breakfast was lovely. It was a short 5 minute walk to the beach if we turned right or 1 minute to all the hawker stalls and little shops if we turned left.

The property is set 24 km from AEON Mall Ipoh Station 18, 26 km from AEON Mall Kinta City and 27 km from Lost World of Tambun. Every room is fitted with a balcony with lake views and free WiFi. An amazing place in the jungle but not lost there as it may sound from some reviews. Some reviews were complaining about the road there we had no problem. The road is in a good shape and a car needs to stop at some points when another car is in the opposite direction but if one drives slowly I don't see any problem. We enjoyed tranquility of the place, amazing swimming pool and hot springs. Super relaxing. What a pity we didn't have time to stay there longer but one night!

Located in Ipoh in the Perak Region, 7 km from Ipoh Parade, Meru Suites at Meru Valley Resort boasts an outdoor pool overlooking views of lush greenery. Minerals and Geoscience Department is 9 km from the property. Free private parking is available on site. On arrival the reception staff were very helpful and friendly, the suite was clean and comfortable and had a view overlooking the golf course and pool area. It had lovely modern decor, a good fridge and kettle. The cafe where we bought breakfast (croissants and coffee) was good and we were able to sit outside on the terrace. We also ate both nights in the restaurant which was busy as it was Chinese New Year, but the meals we had were good and the staff worked hard and were helpful and friendly. It was a last minute booking as we initially had booked 4 nights in Cameron Highlands but then realising there wasn't enough to do there, so Ipoh looked to be the next best place to stay on our way to Georgetown. We were very pleased with everything and we took a taxi into Ipoh to see all the street art which was amazing. A good choice for a 2 night stay.
