Strömstad
Just 5 km from central Strömstad, Daftö Resort offers a summertime theme park with an outdoor pool and children's activity house. Strömstad Golf Club is 8 km away.
All cottages at Daftö have a living room with a seating area and cable TV. Each has a furnished terrace and a fully equipped kitchen.
This place was a very happy surprise in so many ways! We really did not know what to expect from a pirate-themed resort but we had a beautiful and very comfortable room. Mid-week and off-season, we had the whole resort practically to ourselves. It is situated on the water so we enjoyed a morning walk around the property. The breakfast buffet was fabulous!
I can't imagine what the resort is like during the summer, it must be crazy busy with the amusement park. But if I lived near, I would definitely take my grandkids for a couple of days.
Varberg
Apelvikstrand Strandhus offers modern, self-catering holiday homes next to Apelvik Beach, 3 km south of central Varberg. Each accommodation has a furnished patio, kitchenette and flat-screen TV. Varberg Fortress is 3.2 km away.
This resort is 65 km from Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, and the property offers free parking. Varberg Train Station is a 10-minute drive from Apelvikstrand Strandhus.
Fabulous location right beside the beach, staff were super friendly and house was clean and had everything we needed.
Grebbestad
Bicycle and boat rental is available at Tanumstrand SPA & Resort Stugor, as well as mini golf and a tennis court. Outdoor and indoor pools with slides, along with a sauna and hot tub are also on site. A variety of lawn games can be borrowed. The view in the morning and in the evening is quite special and there's direct access to a walking path right by the water. Also, the experience to be spending nights at a cabin is quite special. The staff is very friendly.
Marstrand
The hotel offers spa facilities, with entrance available for purchase on site. this is a camping resort. so, they are busy during vacation times i guess. when we went not so busy. we were only there one night as we were passing by. It reminded me of wolly world from chase vacation movies. the people there are very friendly.

The botanical outhouse was gorgeous, but not insulated so even with a fire you’re freezing your ass off but truly gorgeous and the only private place in the entire resort. The place gives Hamptons vibes, but the crowd ain’t that cute or pleasant. If you swing, then this might be your thing.
Impeccable Breakfast and the location was great . The best hotel in this town. Such wonderful bedroom and bed was so comfortable. Dinner in Fraz Bistro downstairs the hotel restaurant was luxury. I loved
We really enjoyed our stay. We were not sure what to expect, but the resort surprised us to our delight in every respect. The staff was extremely helpful. As Americans spending our first night in Sweden we were having trouble contacting relatives in Norway. The staff was able to provide the needed help. This looks like a great place for families.
Don't be put off by the picture of the exterior, this was a very interesting and comfortable stay. Very easy to find, great parking and warm welcome. It is in the countryside but only a short distance from Smogen and the seaside resorts around. It has amazing kitchen facilities both in the room and in the long corridore outside. We stayed only one night but it would be great for a longer stay or with a family. The room was spacious and well equipped and the night was SILENT. So lovely.
