This property is excellent. It’s situated in the jungle but only a short walk from the main strip. It is so relaxing and the staff will go out of their way to ensure you have a good stay. Unfortunately Ill health meant we had to cut out stay short. The owners arranged our transport to the mainland and woke super-early to cook us a breakfast and ensure we made our transfer safely. We will definitely be staying again

The location is a real gem, the grounds are very well looked after, cleanliness is of very high standard, the food is good and the staff are really amazing, always ready to help and assist with a smile. We really enjoyed every minute of our stay.

El The Reef Resort está situado en Koh Kradan, a 5 minutos en lancha del embarcadero de Pak Meng. Ofrece conexión wifi gratis, una pileta y un mostrador de información turística. There is always a risk of returning to a great place that the place doesn't seem so great the second time around, but the opposite applies to The Reef Resort! We felt even more welcomed and had got even more out of our time on Koh Kradan now when we "came back". Genta and Jack have such an impressive quality of remembering which guests like what even after hosting them once for 1-2 days. Also with other staff members, we noticed how much they paid attention to our likes and dislikes, trying to anticipate our needs and give us the greatest experience possible. We also were impressed by almost all staff members from the year before still being at The Reef Resort which speaks for nearly no turnover. It is really a matter of personal taste: we liked the setup where there is no big noisy entertainment program in the evening, just a round bar in the middle of the resort where everyone is welcome to have a drink, or have a chat, or play a round in a board game. If you travel alone, and wish for some socialisation, this is a perfect setup for engaging with other people without a big effort. The location is (literally) a stone-throw from the reef and the basically the hotel is standing on the beach. There are a few places around that Genta recommends at the check-in (e.g. the best pizza on the island is next door), but the variety of (primarily) Thai dishes at the resort restaurant is so big that this time around we really stayed close "to home" and went all in on seafood and Thai dishes, and not even once was there anything missing in the food we ate. Pad Thai at The Reef Resort remains my personal definition of a great Pad Thai. Just like last time we visited, it was a great value for the price considering the climate around the hotel (it is an island with humid climate), the availability of hotels on Koh Kradan (there are not many), and the fact that everything needs to be brought in by boat.

Really good no frills accommodation with very sweet hosts. The location is great, walking distance from the pier and from one of the island's beaches. We really enjoyed sitting on the small porch to watch the sea view. Restaurants and convenience shops are also nearby. We also arranged excursions to Koh Kradan, the Emerald Cave and transfer to the Trang airport with the host and everything worked smoothly, we had a great experience.
