Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Staff very friendly, location perfect, nice terrace, reception took care of my refrigeration-needing items before check in and took them into my room in my absence. 24 hour reception returned my deposit at 4 AM upon checking out. All room had slippers, the kitchen was new and fully furnished, but no bathrobes in the bathrooms. The room was very cold.

IcelandBreakfast is not up to the standard you would expect from a hotel of this caliber. Poor selection. The food is good but very limited. Don´t expect anything made from pork like bacon or anything like that. The Wifi connection was constantly resetting and the connection was coming and going.
The positioning of the hotel is second to none regarding being close to the Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa and the Dubai fountain. It´s close in a way to the Dubai Metro. The staff is excellent in every way. I had communications with the front desk, the tour guide operator and the cleaning staff and everything was top notch.

CanadaThere was very limited cookware and dishes in the kitchen. Almost impossible to cook. Tub showers unusable as water splashes the whole bathroom due to lack of shielding by a half glass wall.
The location to Dubai mall is fantastic. We walked there in a few minutes. There are also 2 grocery stores at the bottom of the building, a couple minutes walk away. We had Burj Khalifa view which was also nice!

RussiaThe room is very cozy with everything you need. Great view of Burj Khalifa from the balcony. Walking distance to the tower and Dubai Mall is no more than 5 minutes. I thank the professional staff at the reception. They made a free upgrade to a more expensive room with a view of the Burj Khalifa. They provided early check-in (5 hours earlier), which is a rather rare occurrence in the hotel industry, but here it is the norm of respect for guests. Ordering a taxi early in the morning and assistance with luggage surprised me with literally “lightning speed.” I would like to name the staff who provided us with such outstanding service. These are Abigail, Fatima and Ibrahim. Thank you all, we will definitely come back to you.
