Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The lady who welcomed us, Tiffani was a great character with a lovely energy. The hostel is very small and quiet.

Tiffani is a really great person. She made me feel right at home and the hostel is great. The rooms were very clean and so was the bathroom. You can cook your own meals and there is plenty of tea. Tiffani is always available for a chat. Thank you for letting me stay there.

Nothing, all perfect!
The welcome and cleanliness were impeccable. The owner, who is very kind and attentive, provided excellent advice. It's very close to the center, just a short walk away. If, like us, you're traveling by car, there's secure parking just a few meters away.

The aircon was right above my bed so I got cold in the night and turned it off. I saw another roomate turn it back on. We should have swapped beds.... Google led me on a wild goose chase at the beginning so I end up walking though town. Many roads have no label of their name and are narrow passages. In reality you come out of the bus station, walk straight ahead at round about, turn left. Look for a sign that says Hostel David. Turn down that alleyway pass the hostel David sign which should be on your right and turn at the corner. You see a sign up ahead. As you reach it turn left and you see hostel mirror. Ask and ask.
Very close to the old town and transport hub. Tiffany enjoys conversing and kindy let me stay until it was time to catch my bus, rather than at the station. It is basically an apartment with one room that has 3 sets of bunks. Aircon in room. A nice outdoor seating area.

The stay here was wonderful. Tiffany is an amazing very kind person and was so helpful during the whole stay. The location of the hostel is incredibly close to both train station and all the good spots in the town. The bed in the shared room was comfortable and there was everything you might need for a short stay.

Everything was great!
From the moment I entered this hostel and met the wonderful woman, Tiffany, I knew my stay here would be great. Unfortunately, I only stayed for one night because I had to catch a flight, but I would love to come back again. The room, as well as the entire hostel, was exceptionally clean and nicely decorated. The location of the hostel is ideal, it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the old town of Mostar. I highly recommend staying here! :)

The owner is really nice. I strongly recommend doing the Herzegovina tour with Zika, it's impressive.

Tiffany was so nice! She call local bus drivers to know the schedule for the small towns I wanted to visit! Always friendly! For example one night she gave watermelon to all guest

That we didn’t stay longer :(
It was very short stay (one night sadly), but it was very cute rooms and bathroom, clean, close to all attractions. But I need to tell how wonderful and amazing the host was. 10/10! I felt also special connection because we have family in same country but she treated all guests really warm and kind. She is absolutely adorable and so funny that your cheeks will hurt from laughing. She will recommend you a great tour - from other hostel, and this was one of the best tours I ever experienced. She will also give you great tips for what to see, eat, and all in a very relaxed vibe, and best jokes you ever hear! Will never forget the 120 steps joke. I wish we could stay longer, sadly for us she’s so good that we couldn’t extend due to the rooms always being fully booked so be careful to book quick enough. And by the way, this was the most beautiful hostel I have ever been, so aesthetically pleasing! Good job, drago mi je bilo

Amazing. We had a night there, everything was on spot. Tiffany is amazing woman, very helpful and friendly too. She helped us regarding city tour too, she has the whole Bosnia map at hand to help you with!:D. I recommend

Clean, welcoming and helpful host, close walk to everything but out of the hustle bustle, great value, has A/C for the heat, small guesthouse vibes, lovely flowers in the courtyard. We stayed in a private room.
