Building & decor needs tlc (apart from the fabulous staircase & stone wall in dining room). Breakfast biggest disappointment. Quite basic. Bread not the freshest. Limited choice. No fruit. Not enough staff to replenish food.

Location, parking, cleanliness and staff excellent. Dinner well cooked. Nice ambience. Bed & sleep fantastic. Peaceful. Area to secure bikes. Room refreshed each day.

Not something we did not like, but it was not cheap. But we knew that beforehand. So, not as "value for money" if you are looking at that kind of a deal.

The staff were amazing. We reached quite late and wanted to order dinner from them. They waited so that we did not have to find any other place to eat. The food was also very good. They also helped move a car from the charging station, very late, so that we could charge our car overnight. Super appreciative of that. The hotel was in a very old buidling so the rooms might not have been amazing, but it was comfortable enough. Brekfast was nice with a few different choices. Lastly, the little town and the view was quite amazing. Would love to go back someday.

Watch out for the creme brûlée with fois gras, my husband had a reaction to it.

Breakfast is delicious lovely choice of local yogurt, cereal, bread, croissants and cheese and meat, plenty of choices. The breakfast room is lovely with a view over the lake. The owner is very friendly.

After reading some of the other reviews, I was surprised by how nice of a stay this was! The staff were all friendly, professional, and attentive. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable and the restaurant (especially the pizza and salad) were outstanding! The hotel is set in a charming, little town with a gorgeous view of the lake. The room was quiet, and even with dinner going on outside, I didn't hear a thing with the windows open. Yes, the furtniture is a bit outdated, but the room is very clean and the bed comfortable.

Nothing disturbed us! The fittings are not the newest but everything worked well and was clean.

The room (no. 20) has great potential, with its decent view and fireplace, but should really be updated - very old-looking and mismatching furniture, almost as if collected on the streets, and with an old carpet. Unfortunately the only "superior" thing in this room was the fact that it was on the second floor... The price (165.-) was much too high.

Good position in a nice little town. Spacious room. Free parking. Nicely redecorated stairwell. Although old, the bed was big and comfortable.

Nothing! As I've said there were lots of negatives but they just added to the quirkiness and quaintness of this wonderful hotel.

I absolutely loved this hotel. It is quirky and quaint. It is in need of a re-furb but the character of this property meant it didn't matter. The staff were wonderful. They tried to speak English (which was better than our French), however an iced coffee got lost in translation but we got there in the end. There were six lightbulbs in our room and four of them didn't work. The water pressure and temperature in the shower was variable. There was no air-con. But none of that mattered. If I'd got a problem with that I would have complained. But I didn't feel the need to. Our breakfast was plentiful. We had two meals here and I can say I had the best pizza ever there. The staff were just lovely. The view of the lake from our bedroom window was magnificent. I loved this place.
