Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

There was no bathing soap or body wash liquid in the bathroom.

The unit was well maintained. All the kitchenwares and tools are available. Kitchen equipment are also good quality. Superb location - i think better than staying in interlaken.

The washer and dryer was not in the apartment but was not a deal breaker.
Great space. Big enough for my infant and toddler girls. It had everything you would need to enjoy your stay in Interlaken area. The internet was fast enough for my little girl to stream baby YouTube videos. The walk from the train takes about 10 minutes but there is a bus stop literally within walking distance from the property which drops you off down around the Interlaken West train station. Very convenient!! The host was very quick with her communication and the messages were very clear/precise. This is what I had imagined for what a perfect booking to be; smooth, clean and to the point. Thank you Sofia for the stay. We will be back perhaps with family and/or with friends!

Some plugs did not work in the apartment, but the staff promised to fix it.
The place is super clean and accessible by public transport. The staff replies super quickly. It’s been already the second time we rented this place.

The washer and dryer are in the basement and shared with other tenants of the building. They were in use by others at times. The train station and grocery store are a 10-15 min walk, which wasn't super convenient. The bus stop is close, but only comes every 30 minutes, so you have to time your trip to the train station.
The property was spacious, clean and updated. It was very comfortable for our family of 5. We enjoyed having a smart TV and access to a washer/dryer. The beds are comfortable. The property manager was very responsive to any questions/needs we had.

The instructions to locate washer and dryer were missing. It wasn’t clear where to dispose the trash
The property is located close to a bus station that takes you to the Wilderswil station as well as Interlaken West station. It can easily fit 8-9 people, though only one room has double bed which was a bit constraining for our group of 2 families.

good size and good location. however upon check in there was a pretty strong cigarette smell, which lingered for several days and it’s not really pleasant. considering the price, was expecting shampoo and basic seasoning provided.

It would be nice if there was salt, oil to be used by guests in the kitchen.
Everything! The apartment is exactly like the photos. We were with car and the parking was right in front of the property. I highly recommend.

There were no toiletries (shampoo, shower gel), coffee or tea.
Apartment was nice, it was easy to find and to get inside. Beds are comfortable, apartment was well equipped (vacuum cleaner, iron, hair drier, blender, raclette grill, fondue, coffee machine, electric kettle, Playstation, etc.). Very nice area, beautiful views.
