Trudi was a great host. Highly recommend! She offers a great buffet style breakfast and the home, built in the 15th century has been totally renovated and is very comfortable and spacious. It is also in a great location in Zurich's Old Town. Great experience overall and would definitely like to go back!

Excellent location, central to everything, transportation, Lake Zurich, shopping and restaurants. The Breakfast offering was exceptional with fresh juices, cereals, baked goods, honey, jams, salads, as well as meats and cheeses to go along with the selection of breads. Was unique to stay in a building built in 1430. Large hill to get to the location.. Then again Zurich is up and down everywhere.. Trudi was very interesting to talk to and very helpful helping you find where you are going...she made you comfortable at breakfast sitting down and chatting. Kitchenette in room so you could cook yourself if you wanted to. Definitely a place we would return to

As I’ve been asked, the bed was a tad on the small side and a little firm for my personal preference.

This was such a convenient location in the heart of Zurich’s old town. It was really conveniently places and surrounded by the cities history at your doorstep. Trudy was really welcoming and we loved sipping grappa in her courtyard at sunset. Just at the front of her home is one of the cities fountains, we enjoyed a sunset dip and was one of our best experiences in Switzerland.

Security to bedroom on ground floor had me in double thoughts since it has 2 doors and only one (old one by keeping key with us while going to bed) could be locked by us. Fire door could still be opened from outside if someone is in the hallway and other guests would enter through the same hallway. Other would be improvement areas like one extra fan, hangers for clothes and a small table for keeping luggage.

Trudy has maintained the place well despite house being constructed in 1430. She walked us through complete house though we were allotted room at ground floor. This was a great gesture. She also explained about nearby areas to visit and explained a bit about neighborhood. I personally loved door locks which were old design but effective and still in use today.

The house is very nice and has an small beautiful garden for guests. The house is very close to the city center and it's located in a very quiet street. The bed was very comfortable. The host is an educated and well travelled person and she enriches the whole experience in Zurich.

Excellent location near the Grössmunster on the Niederdorf side of the river. Historic house dating back to the 15th century. Trudi is an excellent host She serves a great breakfast, and is an interesting person and conversationalist.

The option of an earlier breakfast when necessary. Shelves for suitcases would be nice and maybe a couch in room. Also some hooks for coats would have been good. No milk in fridge for tea/coffee.

Unique, renovated, comfortable & historic accommodation in beautiful old town of Zurich. Host was extremely friendly and helpful. Warm, quiet, very comfortable and great location.

Candles in the rooms. It's very dangerous! Little light in the room. There were 3 very dim lamps. Very small double bed for 2 skinny people. Too many small and expensive things in the room easy to break for those who are not used to moving in it since everything is new. The electrical socket in the bathroom is behind a mirror and is not practical. Limited hours at breakfast (understandable because there are no employees to prepare it). If you take a flight early, loses it The handwash drain is not working properly. The bathroom window curtain is short and the neighbors can see you.

Switzerland was hit by a heat wave during this period, and the country is simply not prepared for this sort of weather. Trudi did her best to keep our room cool with a fan but the lack of air conditioning was an issue. Ordinarily, this wouldn't be a problem - but if you're travelling in the summer, you may want to check the weather reports and be prepared.

Excellent location. Easy access to the old town. The place itself is tricky to reach by car, and Trudi provided some precise directions that would have been fine if our taxi driver had followed them!

an amazing and magic place, great owner, we arrived very late because a flight delay, Trudi stayed awake till very late to meet us, was very kind and chilled us with a nice shot of home made grappa. very wellcomming hospitality. also we had a great chat on s cup of coffe in the morning. beautiful house, interesting people, great location.
