Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Checkin machine is a bit dumb, not comfortable to put a lot of information. Walls in the room were dirty. Pillows didn't feel like pillows at all, looks like there is some blanket in it. Additionally didn't like that a lot of stuff was broken, like you take out the plug with half of the socket 😄 Also broken hair drier, etc. Looks like there are no revisions for the rooms. Additionally would be nice to have some lights at the parking lot. Hotel is good for short stay, if you just want to get sleep, but not to enjoy the room.
Big room, there are some amenities, fridge, self checkin.

No breakfast available in the 2 mornings we were there, reception and restaurant closed even during the day. Our room was smelling cigarette´s smoke so we had to keep the window opened for a while, to get fresh air. And the location was good to be close to the airport and to the event we went in but the area seems to be industrial area with some companies and due to that over the weekend was super quiet and nobody outside nearby. But if you walk 5-10mins from the hotel you see some houses, shops and bus stop.
Location is good to be close to Zurich airport by car/taxi. The room for 3 people was big, really good space. Same goes to the bathroom.

Lack of human contact at any stage of our stay… not even an SMS message to check on the customers. Hard to get a taxi, you need a car.

The staff on-site check in time is limited. The self checking in procedure lacks detailed instruction (actually don’t have the instruction anywhere), so we had to ask people in the building complex to help to figure out. Hope it could be included in the online hotel description or in the message communication to guests.
Location was good for overnight stay for next morning flight, as it is close to the Zurich airport. Though the environment looks like an industrial area but it is oaky considering the good rate.

the automatic self service check in is too complex and not logic, have to call assistance by phone to finish it. The room smells bad as used drain, there was half of the lights never working in the room.

It was important that I had a functioning phone, because I had already booked online via booking.com but the electronic kiosk wanted to bill me again (which would have resulted in a double charge if I had not been able to call and speak directly to a hotel representative).
Situated in a sort of an business park type of environment. Functional but a bit impersonal. Basic clean accommodation. No actual staff present - everything is handled via an electronic kiosk.

It didn’t have family rooms, I had to book 2 separate rooms (4 persons) It was located on an industrial estate. Not sure about the contactless check-in, we didn’t have any issues but another couple took a while to sort out their issue with the telephone help desk

I did not see any staff. I did arrive late at evening so all was automated what worked wel. In the morning I left around 09:30 and I did not see any staff, no hospitality at all.

There are no staff onsite. The building is shared with commercial premises. There is a ATM like machine to check in when you arrive and it didn't work very well for us and another couple. We had to call the help number and then we're told to open a safe in one of the post boxes. None of this was explained to either of us beforehand. There needs to be more explanation on how the check-in process works.
