Like many hotels in Europe, getting the room to a comfortable (cool) temperature is difficult without opening the windows. Fortunately, we had a quiet room (away from the noise of the city) so we could keep the windows open all night.

The location of the hotel across the street from the main train station was great and made it easy to get around the city. The room was very large for Europe and comfortable. The staff were personable and very helpful. The bistro/cafe was great to get a coffee and croissant in the morning.

It was near the SSB. There was everything in the room like water, coffe etc. There was balcony. Room was clean. Personel was very helpful. We would like to stay again when we will come to basel.

The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. We had to book this last minute due to train connections issues and they were all so pleased to see us and helpful. The bar area was friendly and open to the public. Breakfast was excellent.

Everything was great. Hotel manager and his staff were all wonderful. The only disappointment was having to leave to continue our holiday. Even though facing the large square with the trams, there was not much noise from outside. And no noise from inside either, as people got up early to join the 4am beginning of carneval. As a result of this (and a missing alarm clock), we slept in.

Excellent well-located hotel. Large, nicely designed and furnished rooms. Great amenities and super clean. The wonderfully welcoming Front Office Manager - Fraser, is a real asset to this property. He provided us with excellent tips about Basel and all the best things to see and do. We will book this hotel again, without hesitation!

The section of the building where we were given. As traveller with a 2 year old, it was a bit tedious to transfer two elevators to get to our building.

Location is perfect, across train station and busses, trams super accessible. Liked that the room had a balcony but we didn't get to use because it was winter.

Gorgeous building, very well situated for the train station for our onwards journey. We booked a family room. Great size room, a bed each for the children, lovely big bathroom, very comfortable beds. Breakfast was plentiful, great choice of breads, hot breakfast, meats, cheese, fruit, hot drinks and fruit juices.
