Well, I do not like to write more bad things than good but it is what it is. The place has a bar downstairs and until around 11pm there is some noise from people talking and other loud sounds. There is only one bathroom and shower on each floor. I was on the first floor and I often had to take the elevator or the stairs to the second or third floor to use bathroom and shower because the ones in the 1st floor was always in use. Quite annoying actually.

Great location right in the city center. I also give a 10 for cleanliness. Even when the hostel was full, my room was clean and I always found the bathroom and shower in good condition (the downside about shower and bathroom is mentioned below). The wifi is very good.

When I arrived, I was surprised they were smoking inside the building. And when I got my key, it wasn't getting any better. They handed me the key, and there I was? The woman who handed me the key walked away without telling me anything.. "Oke? Where do I need to go now?" Was I thinking. They gave me the instructions to my room after I asked them. I believe that's not how it works. Arrived at the room.. oh my.. Way too hot.. no privacy whatsoever. At least fix some curtains. And no electricity sockets next to your bed. But yes, it was clean. Only you have to accept that when you go outside and inside, you first need to go through a thick cloud of smoke.

If you don’t like bar culture I’d avoid here. The hotel is above/a part of a bar, so it was loud until midnight every night, the corridor constantly smelt like smoke, and the bar patrons also used the shared bathroom. The room didn’t have any fridge or even a jug. No air conditioning.

Close to train station. Staff were helpful when we had an issue arise.

A lot of smokers, in the bar, in the street outside the rooms and it felt like also in other rooms. I would prefer separate male and female toilets. Breakfast started 8am, which was late for us because we were cycling. No specific bike parking, the bikes were accommodated in the very tiny foyer which was fine but probably really inconvenient for other guests.

Very central. Smiley happy and obliging staff. Our room was huge. Beds were comfy. It was quiet at night.

Stench of cigarette smoke from the bar and wafting up from the street. Bathroom and shower down the hall. OK for a cheap place to stay but this wasn't cheap.

I missed some hooks to hang up jackets etc. With just 3 clothes hangers the possibility to hang clothes was pretty poor. The noise from the bar and in the morning from the deliveries was pretty bad.

Single rooms are small and contain 2 beds, there is hardly any space to move around . In the night the noise of bar guest downstairs can be disturbing.

there's a bar below and on Friday night people were drinking heavily until maybe 2:30 am; seems to be a place where drunks gather. shared bathroom and shower occupied a lot (I suspect people from the street who used the place to wash themselves etc)

The smell of smoke everywhere. Needed to leave to window open all night for fresh air but then, the music was blasting the whole evening. Great if you're looking for a place to party and enjoy the smell of cigarettes.

The smoking bar with what seemed to be the local alcoholic community of Schaffhausen gathering there. They were loud until early morning and then again in the morning. There was nearly a fight between two of them.
