Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesI had a very bad check in experience with the hotel. We reached at 1330 hrs and started the check in formalities for 2 rooms booked through the Booking.com. I have requested the receptionist to try to give me if possible at one room before the official check in time of 3 PM as we have an infant and he is in upset condition . The receptionist promised to help and about to prepare the room but a porter was there and his name Patrick he stopped the both receptionists stating that check in at 3 PM knowing that free rooms are available. We had to go out side as we were not given a toilet facility to change baby’s dressing. We waited more than one and a half out in the cold and raining condition as there is no lobby or decent toilet in reception area. 10 past 3 we came back for check in but the same Patrick ignored us and insisted walked away and delayed our check in purposely for no reason. At this point I decided to look for another hotel and get rid of this racist person and I demanded to speak to the manager. The manager calmed down the situation and promised to take action against this behavior of the Patrick the Porter and I am sure she will do nothing but as a courtesy she upgraded one of the rooms and I refused initially as I did not accept favors in such situations but when she insisted I accepted.
The hotel is centrally and strategically located in the hub of Prague connecting between the old and new town. The courteous approach of hotel Manager and upgrading of one of the booked rooms is highly appreciated.

AustraliaThere was a cold snap and we reported that the heating was not working 3 times the first day as the room was cold during the day and very cold in the evening. On the 3rd occasion we were told that it was too late for a service person to turn on heating. The heating did come on sometime after midnight and went off after breakfast.

United KingdomRoom was too hot and temperature control made no difference. Shower wasn't great. The shower screen was too small, which resulted in wet floor. It was also difficult to aim the head. However, these are picky comments that do not detract from the overall positive experience.
Location was superb being a few minute from the old square and the Charles bridge. Restaurant evening meal was delicious. Bed was comfortable. Our room was quiet.

Beautiful hotel close to the centre of Prague, the Junior suite was a large and comfortable room with lots of character, lots of places to eat nearby, breakfast was basic but good. You can walk to all the major sights from the hotel. I would stay again

ThailandInterestingly they gave us only 1 key card, and you had to use your key card to go from our room to the patio linking the room to the entrance/exit. Deer restaurant quality good but they added on an “optional” service charge. The hotel is not exactly 5-stars, a few points for improvement (maybe a universal power outlet would be excellent) but overall not bad at all.
Excellent location near the old town square and all the other attractions in the area. Size of the room was quite good, staff very helpful and friendly.

United KingdomNothing - we loved everything and can’t fault it in anyway.
The location was incredible - literally no more than a 2 minute walk to Old Town Square yet it was so quiet when in the accommodation you had no idea you were in the middle of the Old Town. The room was so clean and luxurious, I would not hesitate to recommend, particularly for the price - exceptional value for money. It was modern, elaborate decor and unlike many other hotels, nowhere looked remotely tired or in need of an update - it was all so well kept. The staff were incredibly attentive and maintained the rooms and the whole environment to an immaculate standard. The breakfast buffet was beautiful with so many options to choose from. There is an outside Courtyard garden in the centre which was also kept immaculate with so many Spring flowers planted in numerous boxes that not only looked stunning and gave a vibrant splash of colour, but had an incredible fragrance the moment you stepped outside. It seems they have thought of everything and spared nothing - we had a wonderful stay.

United StatesIt was ok for us,but for people with mobility issues could be a problem because acceding the room requires get some stairs up and down. The shower a little uncomfortable for tall people. The rest was amazing.
I’m glad that I selected this hotel. The property has its own charm. The hotel is completely different from the traditional hotels but its is what I loved the most. The room was a very spacious suite.

United StatesI didn't like the fact that if you ordered a ride from the hotel the cost was 2-4 times what an Uber would charge. The driver told us what they would make which means the hotel (or probably the staff) makes a significant amount for themselves (they don't call you a taxi but a company they have an agreement with. No public transportation in Old town so you must walk or Uber to use that. Although it states elevator, one half of the building requires about 20 stairs to get to an elevator.
Breakfast was excellent. Great Location for hotel - was a very short walk (maybe 100 meters from hotel) to old town square. Maybe 1/3 a mile easy walk to Charles Bridge. The ambiance of the hotel was a throwback to an older time. Very Cool!

EstoniaWe booked suite but it wasn't the one presented on pictures. Ours was basically two room apartment with a bathroom. Also the mini fridge was not working properly (by the sound it seemed to have some internal short circuit).
The location was in the middle of old town, very accessible to walk to sights and restaurants. Breakfast was adequate. The suite was comfy, but with no view (bedroom had no windows).

GreeceRenovation is certainly warranted for the establishment; I encountered issues such as the shower handle coming off in my hand and noticed cracks on the walls. Additionally, the bathroom proved to be quite slippery, which could pose a safety concern. However, the price should be adjusted until the necessary renovations are completed.
The hotel's location is ideal, close to the Astronomical Watch yet on a tranquil street. We appreciated its historical charm and elegant ambiance. However, breakfast lacked variety, offering the same options daily. It would be beneficial to introduce diverse choices, such as different egg preparations or traditional dishes. Moreover, the inconvenience of accessing food through the kitchen downstairs was noted.

United StatesLocated right in the heart of old town Prague this property takes your breath away the second you walk in. The cleaning sraff is on point each and every day replemishing room with fresh bath and hand towels. As well as all soaps and such. We literally felt like our hotel room was inside a castle. This property offers breakfast hosted by the Deer Restaurant and its one of the best we have had. The restaurant is elegant, and the meals they serve for lunch and dinner are to die for. The staff is there to take care of all your needs and they do every single time. We went for a night cap in the bar area every night of our stay. Most nights there were as a gentleman playing piano. It was beautiful, it was romantic it was perfect.
