How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).

Unfortunately, given that the building is quite old, the walls are very thin and noise from the corridor or the street carries really easily into the room.
The hotel is really well located (in the old part of the town and not too far from the Bodensee). The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. Personally, the best part of my stay was breakfast: the breakfast buffet has a large selection of both sweet and savoury foods, warm and cold foods, as well as various baked goods. Great way to start the day!

Compared to the rest the bathroom seems to be a little too small. But for us was not an issue at all
The hotel is located just at the entrance of the old town. It is an historic building which has been internally very well restructured. The lobby is illuminated by the original windows and has a modern design. The room is quite large, fully furnished also for longer stays. The breakfast is huge with all options. Staff very friendly and helpful

The only part that could be a little annoying is that, depending of the rooms, you can easily hear your "neighbours". It happened to us but, luckly, we could change our room

Heating not on in the room on arrival. But we put it on, went out for a couple of hours and it was warm when we returned.

Not noise proof. Could hear people upstairs and in the corridor though it wasn't an issue. The rooms are very basic and small though I suspect the rooms vary.
Beautiful old building. Inside was beautiful where reception and the breakfast restaurant were. Breakfast was lovely. Felt very comfortable loved being in such close proximity to everything.

It would have been good to have a kettle, tea/coffee facilities in the room. Shower curtain blows into the shower space when being used, which makes it a bit uncomfortable, but apart from that the small bathroom was quite modern.
The family room was quite tight with 4 adults, but fine for a quick one night stay. Beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet and well located. The staff were friendly and made us hot chocolates at night in the lounge after walking the city in the cold weather. The buffet breakfast had a large variety of choice, very delicious.

We were under the roof, so the ceiling was quite low. Also there was a very steep staircase which was fine for us, but not optimal as we were staying with a small child.
The breakfast buffet was amazing! The room was spacious and the bathroom nice and clean. Nice and full mini bar and comfy (even if a bit small) bed.

The elevator works without needing a key card. Theoretically anyone could enter and get to the room doors unobstructed. Needs an upgrade.
Fantastic antique hotel in the centre of Konstanz, right next to a bus stop that connects with the ferry. The train station is also not far, overall extremely convenient. We had very enjoyable breakfasts there with plenty of tasty options. There's something for everyone. I recommend booking the breakfast in advance as it is a bit pricey when bought the same day.
