Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing really but being picky, a kettle in the bedroom would be nice and the bathroom fan stayed on 24/7.
Large, bright and quiet room, with plenty of storage space. Close to the train station and main centre. Helpful, friendly staff. 24 hour free hot drinks available and afternoon cake. All in all a great base from which to explore the city.

United KingdomWe happened to catch the one night they had a delivery at 1.30am, due to the upcoming festival weekend, so a bit noisy for a while. I think wexalso had a step in shower. I think guests should be made aware of this- we are in our 70's but quite fit but it is still not easy, or that safe, Also no anti-slip mat for the bath, or a handle to hold while getting in and out.
We booked very late due to an error with a previous booking. Staff were very welcoming, with tea/coffee and cakes available at certain times. Good breakfast!

United StatesI didn't like the inconvenient parking situation, but that is probably normal for an old downtown. The room was second floor by the street so it was noisy, but not obnoxiously.
Exceptional breakfast spread. The room was comfortable even though it was small. Conveniently located to a shopping district. Nice restaurants in the area.

RomaniaThere were some small issues related to the bathroom (shower floor kept a puddle of water), and there were only three hangers in the wardrobe.
The room was ok, although the bathroom was as big as the bedroom, it was confortable and warm enough. The staff was nice and there were somennice extras such as tea and coffee available in the lobby anytime. Also the location was good for my needs. The breakfast was excellent, with sufficient variety and quality so that even for a 5 night stay it did not become boring.

BulgariaMay get a bit too hot on a summer day in the evening in the rooms facing the street. Breakfast is uneventful.
located just a few steps from the railway station and very close to the town centre. Despite the windows facing a major street, it was calm in the evening. The hotel had tea and coffee for guests around the clock.

United StatesThis hotel was close to the train station and close to the historic center of town. I booked a single room which was a great size and had a window that looked out onto a courtyard and had a great view of the Budolfi Spire. Free coffee and fresh fruit all day! Also cake available in the late afternoon to go with your coffee. Very friendly staff..

AustraliaA big surprise hits you when you enter your room. On top of the bedspread is a dustpan and brush! I thought the cleaners had left it by mistake. But no, on the wall is a notice saying that if you want maid service, to leave said dustpan outside door before 11am! The "Hotel Inspector" would have had a field day. Unfortunately, there was no-one to tell in reception when we left. But it is not welcoming, the usual sign one the door of "make up my room" would be a lot better.
This is a 3-star hotel in the middle of town. The location was good, and we had 2 rooms on the 5th floor which was quiet and had a nice rooftop view. Breakfast was good.
