We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomThere was a bit of a stale sweat smell in the room not sure why but this was a little unpleasant, otherwise this would have been a solid 9+ / 10
Easy check in and parking, though I note the automatic system did lack a personal feel it was very quick and probably saves on staff costs. The hotel is situated perfectly in the town center. The breakfast box was amazing for a hotel which doesn't supply breakfast! The room was large and comfortable. I come to Hvide Sande fairly regularly and would not hesitate to use this hotel again.

Poland- it's a very small town, so everything is closed in the evening (even pizza places), so bring something with you if you check-in late. - the road is very close, so it might be noise at times (it's ok if you close the window)
- it feels old Danish style, I liked it - free coffee, tea and wine :) - the breakfast solution (a box) is a nice idea. MIght be annoying if you stay many days in the row though. - there is no reception, so just pick your key at the 1st floor

SwedenMy biggest concern with this (seemingly forgotten) hotel is safety. The door to the hotel was wide open, even late. This gives access not only to the full hotel, but also to the breakfast room, which serves also as a facility for guests to help themselves to one (or many) free glass(es) of wine in the evening. With the door open, anyone from the street has access to this facility. When we arrived someone had evidently had a "party" in there, leaving not only a lot of rubbish, but also an empty bottle of Jack Daniels. At the automatic check in you're supposed to enter your booking code to receive your key(s). I our case, a "helpful" employee had already issued two keys, and put them in an envelope with my name on it. However, we were three (3) in our party, so how do I know (with the entrance wide open) that that three (3) cards had not been issued, with the missing one now in the pocket of a burglar? Second issue is cleanliness. The layers of dust are thick, and not even the board announcing the (absent) staff is kept clean. Third is staff. Because no one was available to tidy up the mess in the breakfast room I called the night porter, but he had no wish whatsoever to do anything about the situation.

FinlandThe room was really warm and the air was pretty bad inside. The breakfast was really disappointing as it was quite weird and left us hungry. We were also disappointed for the coffee. Pretty expensive for the quality you get. The hotel felt more of a hostel than a hotel.
Location was great and the check-in and check-out was suoer easy and fast. Nice surprise that there was some beverages available for free for the customers.

DenmarkNo shade on top windows in centre of room which made the room light as soon as the sun rose. Outside light shining through the shades at night. Floor of shower very slippery when wet.
Excellent facilities in the Surfer’s Suite. Very nice decor, large living room with dining table, fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher. Good sized bathroom with shower, second restroom with toilet, sink and washing machine. Shampoo, conditioner and soap provided in both. Private furnished terrace with table chairs and an additional enclosed seat to provide shelter from the sun. Private parking, fresh morning rolls with a choice of meat, cheese and jam with a Danish pastry.
