I had requested a room on the ground floor shortly after making our reservations because I'm 73 and my wife is 69 and she has recurring leg pain and I didn't want her to have to go up and down stairs. I never received an answer from the hotel about my request and when we checked in we discovered our room was on the top floor of the hotel. It bothered me that the hotel responded immediately when I requested a slightly early check-in time but they never responded to my request for a room on the ground floor. The shower was missing one of the sliding glass doors which created a puddle of water on the floor and the cold air in the morning from the missing shower door made for uncomfortable showers. One night we went out to dinner and it rained while we were gone and when we came back to our room we discovered a big puddle of water on the floor in the bathroom from rain entering through two holes in the ceiling.

The hotel is in a great location and we were able to walk to most everything we wanted to see. All of the employees who work at the hotel, who we came in contact with were great and they did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. There was plenty of hot water for our morning showers and the breakfast we were served each morning was the absolute best in all of our travels in Ecuador.

It can get a little loud at times. Also the bedroom window opens to the common area so you end up closing the blinds all day.

The bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is large and very filling - it was delicious too. The location is great, just a short walk from the main park with the beautiful cathedral. I could walk to most places. Lovely staff.

breakfast. No options whatsoever. You can't choose. They bring you some eggs and something to drink. Pretty below average. The room was not clean. I checked below the bed. Never do that. They say they have a gym but it is more of a joke.

The guy at the reception was pretty nice. He let me use the room right away, even if I was too early.

Lighting in room is too dim to do any reading or writing. Also outside noise like tv from neighboring room can be easily heard.

Room is quite spacious with new furniture. Simple tasty local breakfast provided & hotel is near to Calderon Park.

The hotel is located in the very very center of Cuenca. Everything is good, the breakfast is delicious. In the evening it is a little noisy (from the street), but that is the case everywhere in the center. Overall, I liked everything. The room is not very big, but comfortable. There is electricity during blackouts in the city, the generator works.

No weights in the gym which was the reason i paid to stay here. Tv was small and had a buzzing sound and to top if of for the price the hotel cost i did not receive breakfast. Very poor don't recommend

Bed was not comfortable. It was a bit noisy in the morning. No working smoke detector in room but there were in the hallway. Room windows faced the interior of hotel. No A/C.
