Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Canadathe wine was bad, atmosphere: no music in restaurants except grill which was lame ‘Muzak’, would love to hear Egyptian as well as other mixes. Exception was at the pool, music was great. resort rule of no reserving of pool lounge chairs was frequently broken. we left at 6am and saw 15 towels on chairs. Feb and March strong seasonal winds and sea just a bit too chilly to swim and snorkel.
the staff were excellent and friendly, beautiful Arabian architecture design, our room with balcony was lovely. food was very good

GermanyWe booked a room the sea view. And formally we had a sea view but in front of the balcony was "parking" for yachts and boats. It means twice a day unpleasant smell of burned fuel and a lot of noice. The real sea view is called there ocean or panorama view.
- Very nice architecture and design - friendly and polite staff - wonderful reef! - good variety of food. My favourite was falafel which was only available for breakfast. I would also like to see more Arabian and Egyptian food in the menu. The best desserts that I tasted there were Oriental sweets.

United KingdomI had pay extra to stay in a double room and balcony and sea view, they gave us a twin room with a marina view on ground floor. I had to ask to be reallocated and this took a long time, wasn't happy because I would like to be enjoying the only two days I was going to stay there. At the end they got us another GF room with sea view and double room. But it would be nice to actually get the room you selected on the booking straight away and avoid frustrations.
This resort is huge, we could get lost there in the first day. They have two restaurants, both serve fresh food with a very good variety. The main restaurant is by the water so you enjoy views as well. Smaller swimming pool is heated which is perfect for winter months, super clean. The whole resort is super clean and they left a special decoration on our room on the second day.

United KingdomFood quality in the grill restaurant isn't the best and in the other restaurant I tried there were very minimal options to have included on your AI. Be careful if you're booking this for the All Inclusive option, it is far from it. Lots of "additional extras". I'm not a drinker and was heading out all day for diving so it didn't make a big difference to me but I can see how a lot of people would be aggrieved by this otherwise.
Lovely location on seafront, beautiful buildings to wander around, nice style. Room was cleaned every day and surrounding areas well maintained. Staff very helpful for my requests. Good value for money.

EgyptWell, the WIFI coverage was so low that most of the time I had to travel to the lobby just to send a message or make a proper business video call. There's no WiFi in the rooms, 90% of the beach, and it's essential for business men to have access to flexible wifi. Secondly, even though the staff was friendly, they were not keen on helping us Egyptians like the foreigners (excluding the reception employees who were on equal distances). They always gave them more attention and more care as if I have to be paying in dollars to have the same attitude 😅 but overall the staff was good throughout the whole stay . Lastly, the desserts of the lunch and dinner were so limited and not meeting the level of the rest of the food which was beyond amazing.
Visiting Arabella Azur was perfect on many levels. Everything there is just so fine and clean. The staff were so helpful most of the time. The best thing there was the restaurant view, definitely the best eating view I've ever seen inside or outside Egypt. The seaside is good and the food was mostly perfect. I would really recommend anyone to pay them a visit considering the comments I'll be mentioning later.

Romania- Run away from Health&Beauty offers, these specific employees are quite agressive with their tips requests, totally unprofessional. If you don't give them fat tips their services are poor. - No wifi in the rooms - Pizza served at pool is a bad joke - Limited drinking options (included in all inclusive)

RomaniaLimited drinking options, there is definitely room for improvement for their food options. Horrible pizza served at their pool, NO WIFI in the rooms. RUN AWAY from their additional Health&Beauty packages, the staff is very agressive and always asking for their Tips, interupted the massage session to remind you about their tips, they expect tens of euros for a good massage although you've already paid for the service.

NetherlandsThe information about the house reef, the snorkling and the boattrips..was not shared with us. We found out a bit late. We thought it was very strange that the Kalaboush pub did not play any Egyptian or Arabic music..it's a very old fashioned policy.
The rooms were fine. The staff was friendly. We would like to thank Mohamed and Mina for their very friendly reception. The new year's party and all the effort the staff put in that evening diner was amazing. The buffet was unforgetable. Compliments for the team!

EgyptThe snacks wasn't that good: - The pizza wasn't well backed and have strange taste a little bit, like soap taste. - The cups beside the pool and the beach was plastic, old and broken, so you don't feel it isn't clean.
- The staff were nice and polite. - It was different style, Arabian homes style, more like homes at Aswan. - The room I booked was in front of the small pool , the heated one, and it was easy to go back to room immediately. The room was big and you can put extra single bed there. In addition, the room was clean and the drinks, Softdrinks and Water, in the fridge was cold. - The kids area was great and my kid enjoyed playing there. Plus, there was a room for drawing and such activities..
