TV only basic Spanish. Dinner was delicious but main courses all a little rich. The choice could have included some plain grilled chicken/fish. Very limited food options within walking distance, needed to drive.

Our suite was at the top of an old building set in lovely gardens. A generous spacious set of rooms, bedroom (with terrace0, sitting and bathroom, well equipped and charming. The views across the medieval rooftops and the gardens were special. It felt like our own private medieval castle. Heated pool was great. Staff couldn't do more to help. Everything you needed provided form bath gel to pool towels, hairdryer and mini bar. Quiet, beautiful countryside. A good breakfast provided and taken outside where squadrons of swallows swooped overhead and finches chattered in the bushes was a delight. Plenty of sightseeing within a short distance, from stunning archaeological sites to seaside resorts.

Friendly staff who all have an eye for detail. They really want your stay to be as perfect as possible. Our room and the common areas are decorated with taste and style, and give a homey feeling where you can easily relax.

Our room was on the smaller side, but very cute and pretty. Again it is a medical village and I presume there are bigger rooms available.

It is situated in a medieval village and its location is magical. It is quiet and you see only nature around it. The hotel is behind walls, so it truly feels like a hidden gem. It has a nice kept garden with two pools. We arrived with our two dogs, which was easy and uncomplicated. Outside the hotel you can find lots of green walks. A great place to explore many sights and the coast. Important to mention the kindness and patience we encountered when we arrived. We arrived in the dark and I made the mistake not to read the hosts email before arrival, so I took the wrong turn and got stuck in the medieval village due to its VERY narrow streets. It is only made for very small cars . Don't do the same mistake and do not drive into the village with your car. There is another easy way around the village!! I called the hotel and the manager came down to help us while other villagers tried to help me to set back out of the village, which was a very stressful and long undertaking. Once out I was upset about it all, but the manager stayed kind, calm and helpful and helped me to distress. Thank you again.

Everything was perfect. Very calm and clean. Two pools, one salted, always room to sit and relax. All this in a medieval village, heaven on earth. Wonderful place to stay, we will return!

The bathroom and shower were small, but it was expected given all rooms are inside of the old farmhouse. Some mosquitoes were bothersome.

Great helpful and caring stuff, which would provide you with anything you need. Beautiful landscaping, two pools (fresh and salt water) and comfortable sunbeds. We stayed in the orange room, which was small, but had a character and had all necessary amenities. We had a nice balcony overlooking the fresh water pool and its area. The main building had very nice dungeon with comfortable chairs and couches, where we could relax with a drink listening to some old tunes from 20-40's. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. One night we had dinner at the hotel. The dishes were delicious and service was great like in a Michelin restaurant. The hotel located in an old village and it was very interesting to explore the old narrow streets. It felt like we were on the medieval movie set.

Our standard room a bit small and full of things and decoration (room number 3). The bed for us a bit too hard; could have a duvet instead of the blankets etc (typical for Spain though). The door of the toilet didn't close completely (might be complicated for some couples that just got to know each other)

Restaurant, breakfast, all the employees and the owner very friendly, great atmosphere and house and garden incredibly beautiful/ lots of style (old base and nicely renovated). Room very clean and very well equipped. The small village is just beautiful/ very old. Like a labyrinth- middle-age experience without tourists. Surroundings very nice - typical fields of the Emporda, slightly hilly. Very good hints from the owner regarding hiking tours and the beautiful village Monells

The room was very cold when we arrived. (January). The bathroom needs updating/a makeover-it was really not pleasant for what we paid. The use of aroma oil was incredibly overwhelming and made the room unpleasant.

The location is quiet which is nice and has good access via car to other quaint villages.

Not well treated from the beginning. We started receiving bad comments from the hotel service like „other dog owners walk their dogs before entering here“ and then when we complain during the check-out about the temperature in our room, that was too high even with air conditioning, the owner discarded our comments in a very prepotent tone saying that no one had complained in 18 years. Unacceptable treatment in a very expensive hotel where all the time we felt not properly treated. A pity that the establishment does not understand that customer need to be treated with respect and listen when they have comment about things to improve. With this tone, I discourage any customer to stay here.

Generally very nice location, and charming atmosphere, with old olive trees and green everywhere. From outside the construction aligned to the traditional Catalan country house have a wonderful look.
