Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIf I'm picky, our lovely top floor room would be a better room with a little less furniture.
Very friendly hotel, dog friendly too. Lovely top floor room with private outside area and great roof top views. Most comfortable. Great bathroom . Our 2nd stay and we will return. Short walk to everywhere.

United KingdomThe noise from a party on the roof terrace directly above our room, although this had finished by the time we went to bed.
The location was very central and convenient. The gentleman on reception spoke good English and was extremely helpful. The "welcome" bottle of sparkling wine was much appreciated.

IsraelThe room was very nice, and the hotel small and lovely. Interestingly - we departed at 07:00am and found that not one of the hotel staff was up. the Lobby was in total darkness and we could not find instructions on how to check out or leave the key. they actually do not begin to operate until later in the morning. This is not a complaint - most holiday-goers prefer to sleep in late, but we had plans in Gibraltar that morning that required an early departure.

The location was brilliant. You were close to everything, great food, and all the historical places of interest. The staff were very friendly and made you feel very welcome. Lovely touch with a bottle of Cava in the room. The room was georgous and the bed was so comfortable. It was absolutely spotless. Would definitely recommend this hotel, and hopefully, we will be back to visit in the future.

I had a lovely stay at Hotel Las Cortes as part of my 60th birthday celebrations with two girlfriends. The hotel was located on a lovely street very close to everything. The staff were very accommodating and we were greeted with a lovely glass of Cava.

United KingdomThe rooftop bar was only open on weekends, but we were able to easily purchase from the bar and take up.
Great location, we parked near the port which was less than a 5 minute walk away. The car park was underground and wasn't cramped at all. There are a few little parks dotted around for little ones. The Hotel staff were welcoming and the rooms comfortable and clean, the bottle of fizz in our room was very welcome (although chilled and in an ice bucket would be a bonus). The complementary toiletries were welcome, since we forgot our toothbrushes, and it was great to have a small bath in one of the interconnecting rooms for our toddler. Showers were great too.

IrelandMy car (Subaru Forester) was just too long for the nearest car park to the hotel so had to source another. In hot weather the walk with cases etc could be arduous. Once you know the way the route is shorter! Parking Campo del Sur was our choice. You take a ticket on entry and pay on exit (machine underground). We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Cost for 11-24 hours (I think) parking is 17.60 euros. We paid 35.20 total.
We were given two rooms with interconnected door - very good as there were only two of us with dog. Excellent rooms, showers, location, staff and facilities

United StatesLots of street noise until about midnight every night—but with windows closed, the sound was minimal. No way to turn on the a/c because the HVAC is seasonal—although it was oddly warm outside! All very minimal issues. Would stay there again!
Beautiful and clean, everyone was very nice. Greeted us with a bottle of sparkling wine! Food in the restaurant was very good!
