The atmosphere of the hotel with its occupation in WW2 was a new found emotion in me and Julia. On walking the streets every 10 metres was a photo of a fallen soldier. We visited the Pegasus bridge and then on to see the Mullberry harbour at Arromanche. My regret is we only had one day there, we will return for a week. The hotel under 5 min drive to the ferry at 6am, stress free, excellent.

For an overnight stay it was great. Seconds walk from the beach and Main Street with shops and restaurants. Secure parking if you need it and handy for the ferry terminal. A bit of WW2 history to it as well. The owners are super friendly.

We couldn’t fault anything with our stay but perhaps tea/coffee making facilities in the room or reception would be an added bonus.

Great location near the beach and an easy walk to shops, bars and restaurants. Our room was very clean with a lovely view over the garden and great choice for our overnight stay. Very friendly helpful lady booked us in and spoke perfect English (a bonus for us with limited french!) and brought us drinks from the bar to enjoy in the garden. The secure car park was very useful and enabled us to have a worry free stay and only a five minute trip to the ferry in the morning.

Location is perfect for catching an early ferry and the hotel is geared up for it. Very close to restaurants, bars and shops. Secure parking on site was 7 euros. Room was very clean and comfortable

On arrival, the floor where we were situated looked a bit untidy with bags of laundry and hoover were left in the hallway. The hotel has a lovely bar with a panoramic view but it closes quite early. They don't serve food but have tasty local rillettes

Staff was lovely. Our bedroom had a gorgeous seaview. The hotel has a significant and interesting history. The breakfast was very nice with hot croissants, pain au chocolat and bread straight out of the nearby bakery
