It wasn't a disappointment as much as a comment. The breakfast service on the first day was excellent with the staff being super attentive and on top of everything. It was busier the next day and breakfast went a bit differently. Until half of our breakfast was done, no one from the team came to ask us about coffee or eggs - I eventually had to go and request it myself and it came very quickly, so perhaps on busy breakfast days to add an extra person or a different solution.

The staff were very nice, friendly and accommodating. They upgraded our stay due to our anniversary and treated us to some beers which was super kind of them.

The hotel is a beautiful and elegant ancient building in the city centre, with a wonderful position, along the main street, near St Jacob curch and the Marketplatz. The rooms are beautiful, very big, with good furniture and very clean!! The staff is super, everyone is very kind and friendly and they really do their best to make you feel at home. Breakfast is superb, very rich, with a plenty of choice and food is delicious. Service (rooms, reception and breakfast) is definitely the highest level possible. We enthusiastically decided to extend our stay.

The location was perfect. We visited during the holidays and the hotel was nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our granddaughter was celebrating her first birthday and the staff helped us find a bakery, as well as other items we needed during our visit. We will definitely stay again if in the area.

The hotel is in a really good location. Within walking distance to everything. We had the two bedroom family room. It was quaint and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good.

Things to consider and that we kind of did not like: - there isn't a hotel restaurant which forced us to eat somewhere else every time (they only serve sweet stuff like cakes and drinks, but nothing else) - very high prices per night during Christmas. I understand it's Christmas, but there was really nothing special to charge that amount per night. A bit of unfortunate event happened, which was partially fixed, but still, things can be improved for the future. The hotel offered a Christmas dinner on the 24th of December with a piano concert at the end. They informed us via the Booking messaging system in both German and English around 3rd of November that we were asked tell them before the 15th of December, of any food allergies or intolerances, at least this is what their English message said. There was no mention of any requirement to reserve the table written in English, hence we did not reserve any as we assumed that there are enough table seats for each room. Little did we know that we should have reserved the table, but this was written in German. So, there was a discrepancy between the German message and English one. Eventually we were sat at a table closer to the reception of the hotel and not in the actual restaurant area, Now, while I do understand that German is the official and primary language, we, as tourists are not German speakers and you cannot really expect us to translate what you wrote if you already provided the English version alongside the German one. I had this discussion that evening with someone from the management of the hotel and I was told that other international guests nevertheless understood that they have to reserve the table in advance. Ok, fair enough, the other quests went the extra mile and translated your German message as well, but still, for the future, my suggestion is to make sure you provide the correct message also in English to avoid confusions and situations like ours.

There are a lot of positives, among which it is worth mentioning: - friendly and attentive staff - clean room and bathroom - perfect heating system in the room - very good breakfast - proximity to the central market square within the gated cold city of Rothenburg o d T - well maintained premises and very clean overall - nice little garden All in all, it was a pleasant stay and we will definitely consider the location for the future. What a beautiful property right on one of the main streets close to the center of town! We came for Christmas markets and enjoyed how it was just a few minutes walk away but also so quiet. We had a room for three people that was extremely nice, clean and quite big with a gorgeous, new, huge bathroom with excellent facilities! We slept so well in a very comfortable bed. Everything about our stay was very comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was amazing! Really nice selection along with fresh eggs and coffee to order. We had drinks in the cozy, decorated Weinstube before the night watchman tour, and our server was so nice! We definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay again!
