Lovely little guest-house with just 2 rooms. Our first sight when we got to our room was a local roe deer wandering in the lovely orchard garden. Jo, the owner, was super-friendly and a proper chatterbox. She helped with all our arrangements for the evening and even invited us for some home-made mojitos. A warm welcome and a lovely stay.

Beds were very soft! (Majority of the uk tends to like a firmer mattress!) an evening meal of some sort would be beneficial. Even a snack, sandwiches, pot noodles etc due to the location there’s not a lot around. Other than chickens!

Bath! After a day in the saddle a bath goes a long way. The host was amazing, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice.

If we had to think of something it would be the lack of a full length mirror in our bedroom (no. 2)

A wonderful family owned country B&B in a secluded glen. The house has a very rustic feel with handmade furniture and cosy decor, but is not lacking in modern facilities and has an exceptionally high standard of fit & finish. We had a wonderful welcome from Jo, who is a very enthusiastic hostess with a keen attention to detail. The breakfast was exceptional, entirely homemade from high quality ingredients and full of flavour. All in all a flawless package.

    Everything was excellent

Fantastic warm welcome from Jo. This gorgeous and large house is in a secluded and peaceful setting. We found deer in the grounds one day and sheep on another. The facilities were spotlessly clean and first-class. Our bedroom was large and very well equipped, with a good shower, Wi Fi and the breakfast was superb. Many of the things on offer at breakfast were homemade, including some gorgeous bread. Jo went out of her way to welcome us and provide all those little extras that make your stay memorable. Nothing was too much for her in her quest to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Highly recommended.

Absolutely lovely place. Very warm welcome by both Trevor and Jo. The room was very spacious, massive bed and the view from the window was fantastic, the property was lovely and quiet, and deer were seen outside. The breakfast was very substantial, fruit, homemade bread, porridge, bacon, egg from the chickens in the garden, home made beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, and a great variety of teas/coffees/fruit juices were also available. Toiletries available were ‘Faith in Nature’ which were lovely to use. The hosts couldn’t do enough to make our stay special.

Jo explained that it had not been possible to provide an en-suite for the room, although we had a dedicated bathroom just next door (with a real bath!). This meant we had to scuttle between bathroom and bedroom wrapped in just a towel, or else take all our clothes with us to get dressed. Not a huge problem, just a bit of an inconvenience.

Ardmore house is beautiful old country house, very thoughtfully decorated and furnished. There are two rooms available which are very comfortable. The location is in the midst of beautiful Scottish scenery, and just about a half mile from the NC500 (or right on it if you take the Drumbeg loop!). It is a couple of miles from picturesque Lochinver where there are shops and restaurants. Jo is a lovely lady for whom nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented, with many of the items home made.
