Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBreakfast is expensive if pre booked but a greater selection is available in the Cafe (Darbys') below the accomadation at reasonable cost considering the location.
The location is perfect though this does mean leaving the car a 10 minute walk away in a locked car park. The room was very comfortable with a stunning view on the Ironbridge. The room had a fridge, complete with water, wine and juices. The bathroom featured both a roll bath facing the Ironbridge and a shower. Blists Hill Victorian Town Museum and RAF Cosford (free!) are well worth a visit and are nearby.

United KingdomThe only thing that could be improved upon would be to add a small table in the huge bathroom as apart from a tiny shelf there was nowhere to place toilet bags or toiletries except on the floor.
Wonderful location , the room we had overlooked the bridge and everything you could need was in the room. Parking (secure and gated) was only a hundred yards from the premises.

United KingdomWe liked everything about Bridge View and Guest House. The only thing we thought was that the breakfast was a little bit pricey at £18 per head. Especially when one of us only had an omelette.
Everything. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much for them. Very clean & comfortable. Car park was great.

United KingdomThe weather was a let down which of course is not the guest house fault. The view from our room was not the greatest as we were over the kitchen however this was not an issue as we just wanted somewhere clean to stay the night in that area, however the accomodation does offer other rooms with better views should people prefer this.
The staff were very welcoming and informative. The room had everything you needed and the extra touches like fresh milk in the mini fridge was a lovely idea. The bedroom and bathroom were both very clean with brillaint white fluffy towels and the bed was extemely comfortable. I am very fussy with pillows and very often take my own however there was no need here as they were so soft and bouncy. The breakfast in the morning was tasty and again the service from the staff was excellent. There is parking available in their own car park a short walk away.

United KingdomNothing.
The welcome from Sam when we arrived was the best we’ve had anywhere. He helped us with our bags, explained where everything was in the room, pointed out and went through the information folder in the room and made a few recommendations for our stay. The room itself was excellent, very well appointed. The small details like complimentary bottled water, some small bottles of wine and the piece of cake for us on arrival in the room were the icing on the cake. The bed was big and comfortable. The view is stunning, right out over the gorge with the bridge front and centre.

United KingdomIf I was nit-picking I’d say housekeeping just needs a tweak. The arm of the little leather settee was dusty and the window frame nearest the bed needed a good wipe. Stairs to upper rooms a tad challenging to anyone who might have mobility issues. Parking arrangement a bit different but we knew about this in advance.
Our lovely room overlooked the historical iron bridge (watching the bridge light up at night was magical) and was beautifully done with lounge area, mini fridge (complimentary fresh milk, mini bottles of wine, orange juice, cake), radio alarm clock, tv, telescope, blackout curtains, rainfall power shower, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, plenty of quality loo roll, usb sockets in bedside lamps, lots of clothing storage, everything you could want and we really appreciated the floor standing fan on a very close and humid stormy night. The staff are so helpful and friendly despite the downstairs tearoom (Darby’s) being incredibly busy. This website doesn’t permit naming apparently but the young man (N) deserves a special mention, he was so thorough at check in and carried my bag up the stairs and went through everything clearly & couldn’t do enough for us. Wish we could stay longer!
