The disabled spaces in their car park were blocked/being used for storing building supplies during refurbishment work. This was cleared by check-in time, however I'd managed to get on street parking beforehand. The staff went out of their way to rectify this, but it's totally unacceptable in this day and age for it to have happened in the first place.

The breakfast buffet was expensive - for that, I don't expect corners to be cut by providing nasty cheap sausages. This is a key thing for business hotels I feel. I will be inclined next time to eat outside the hotel.

Shower could use a non slip mat. On Sunday evening we were kept awake (friend staying in another room) until half 1 by a person shouting constantly in the street. Not the hotel’s fault (hopefully) but maybe a factor in choosing location.

Despite turning the heating right down, our room was very warm, so had to open the window which was straight onto the Main Street - so noisy.

There was only one chair in the bedroom. Better lighting is needed in bedroom and there was no bedside table on one side of the bed. Breakfast: Porridge was very poor and only luke-warm. Prunes would have been welcome.

The shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were attached to the wall (completely understand why) but over the bathtub and not in the shower which meant having to walk in and out of the shower whilst soaking wet if you wanted to use them! The staff member who sat us down for breakfast was abrupt and rude and stated "we're busy today so we'll need your table back soon". There were plenty of empty tables and he could have been much more professional and polite in informing us they needed the table back quickly.

Our suite was newly renovated with a fully stocked mini bar. Comfortable beds and a bathroom that exceeded expectations in terms of size, and cleanliness. Plenty of room and nice views. Really central location and breakfast was nice with lots of options.

One member of staff at reception was just really unhelpful, not very welcoming and I am unsure why.

Hotel room faced out onto the tram line which was annoying as it disturbed our sleep.

Location was excellent. Very central and within easy walking distance of restaurants and bars. Easy to get to the university. Parking at Q Park was good too.
