We found everything at the Inn to our satisfaction.

The staff at the Inn are exceptional. Everyone met you with a smile and continually asked if everything was ok (which of course it was). The room was very good and the bathroom very large and clean with a nice shower. The tea and coffee making facilities in the room was greatly received after a long journey. The evening meal is well worth having, with a large menu to choose from, as is the cooked breakfast. There is a large car park provided at the Inn with plenty of spaces.

The room in general a little bit old. The morning coffee tastes like it’s made with instant powder.

The double room is spacious and bright. Breakfast was excellent and great for the price. We had the choice of cooked breakfast along with self-catering fresh fruits& juice/coffee bar. The temperature and power of the shower are nice and consistent.

Hunters Lodge is a traditional inn, with an extensive pub menu and daily homemade specials - food was very good. We received a very warm welcome and exceptional service throughout our stay. The inn was very good value for money

Great value stopover just off A303 near Wincanton. Restaurant is popular with locals serving food very good Pub food with plenty of choice Friendly welcome from all staff, good overnight sleep and excellent breakfast.

A few deficiencies in housekeeping - bins in our room not emptied since previous guests, no soap on the washbasin, dirty mark on back of bathroom door and a couple of cobwebs hanging from the ceiling though, to be fair, these could not be seen in daylight. Also, it would have been good to have a grab handle and/or non-slip mat supplied for the shower

The spacious room, the decor, the very comfortable bed, the excellent breakfasts, the menu choices for the evening meal, the friendliness of the staff, the convenient location (close to the A303 but no issues with road noise)

We stayed here 12 years ago, and it was just as good this time. Rooms were lovely. Staff and pub patrons were extremely friendly and helpful.. it was a little too cold to enjoy the outdoor seating areas, but we could imagine sitting there in summer. Fantastic kids playground for families to enjoy.

The staff that were on duty when we arrived were friendly and attentive. The room was found to be well appointed with an abundance and clean towels with the usual toiletries and refreshment facilities. The breakfast that was provided was wholesome and tasty.

Only very small criticisms...the help yourself toaster didn't work that well at breakfast, and my husband said the seating in the bar area could have been more comfortable (he is disabled) but other than that...perfect 🙂

Nice quiet location and easily accessible from the A303. Breakfast was fab...especially the buffet days at the weekend.

Fire alarm went off at 7.55, however this was not the fault of the inn, it was due to someone using heated hair rollers

Good value for money, food was really good and reasonably priced, staff were pleasant and friendly, I was very impressed with the whole experience and would highly recommend this inn
