Be prepared. This is a pet friendly hotel. This may not be common in England. Many guests and patrons had dogs. We loved it!

Picture perfect location. The staff were amazing. Terrific English hot breakfast. We stayed for 3 days and did not want to leave.

Location is down a string of narrow and twisty back roads. I knew that when booking, but didn't realise just how treacherous they were from google maps. Pillows far too soft for my tastes; I had to stick a cushion under them. Narrow corridors, which were a pain to haul hard-case luggage through.

Bed was huge, and extremely comfortable. Bathroom was very good. Shower worked fine, easy to work, good pressure. The bathroom was larger than some entire hotel rooms I've stayed in. Breakfast was excellent, but beware of the large portion sizes. Very quiet for being in the middle of Surrey, and attached to a good pub. Plenty of chair/surface space for bike gear.

Location in a beautiful village. Property very well maintained inside and out. Very clean. Thoughtful additions. It’s dog friendly so towels provided in the lobby to clean your dog and a bench to take muddy shoes on and off and store them for the duration of your stay. Safe parking behind locked gates for hotel visitors. Attached to a dog friendly pub restaurant . Lovely views from the rooms .

It is in a beautiful village with friendly locals, lovely walks with the dog and village shop. Visited the famous village of Shere in the morning beautiful place. Cant fault our stay at the Hurtwood.

There was some banging around half 2 am maybe someone knocking on the door next door that woke me up That’s not the hotels fault though

The location was dreamy with a gorgeous garden, the staff were so very lovely They are dog friendly too I had a lovely whirlpool bath and woke up to the sound of birds chirping wood being chopped and sun shining in the window Breakfast was included so that was a nice surprise The bed was so comfy

The hotel was a bit secluded & off the beaten track. Only option for a meal nearby was the adjoining pub - lunch was lovely but unfortunately we had to send one of our evening meals back twice.

Very pleasant weekend stay with breakfast included.

We asked for a twin room but got large doubles. No problem and we didn't ask them to change it so not a criticism, just the only slight negative!!

Lovely peaceful location, close to lots of lovely walks. Access to the pub for our evening meal meant we could arrive and not have to drive anywhere for the duration of our stay.

There wasn't much not to like, the roads were tight and windy to get to the hotel but this is not a put off more on what to expect.

Set in a beautiful area, loved the gated entrance, Fantastic staff were very friendly and brilliant with my 3 year old, Room was lovely and comfortable a great night's sleep, Food was great huge portions.
