Evening meals were a little overpriced for the quality. One my wife had, rack of lamb, was tough, and hard to cut even with a steak knife. It did not get finished.

The hotel was tastefully decorated, clean and service from staff was outstanding. Breakfast and dinner menus had plenty of choice and tasted great. The pool and poolside area was nice and clean and a bus stop right outside the hotel was nice and easy to use to get around the island.

Hotel was exceptionally clean and food was excellent. Staff were very helpful and shuttle taxi to airport appreciated when we had to extend our stay. The hotel staff were very helpful when our flight wad cancelled.

The breakfast was fantastic. Everything you could want was available. Breakfasts cooked to order and very substantial. The room was spotlessly clean and maintained. Ample storage, fresh bottled water every day. Had a nice courtyard, private and easy access to pool. All the staff were very efficient, friendly and cheerful.

There was no air conditioning in the rooms - our part of La Place was in the older part of the building. A fan was standard equipment in the bedrooms (room 209).There was a little noise from the airport, but it didn't affect us much despite having the windows open all night as it was hot. The Pimm's cocktail at £12 was very weak on Pimm's. My wife had the same drink in two other restaurants in St Peter Port costing £8 and they were fine. I complained to the barman but was not offered any explanation or offer of another drink.

Country location of the hotel. We could walk into St Aubin. Outdoor pool, sunbeds were excellent. The hotel is immaculate, everything runs like clockwork, especially in the fine restaurant where the two course dinner costs £39 (June 2023). We ate in the restaurant on all 4 nights we were there. The menu repeated on the 4th night. The inclusive breakfast is the best you would find anywhere!

The location is quiet but it’s a little difficult to get around the island from this place. The road has no footpath and is narrow.
