Initially difficulty in checking in as no response ringing the doorbell or from any of the 4 phone numbers on the door despite agreeing our arrival time. Eventually a response was received and we were told where to obtain a key.

The only drawback was that the electric shower in the bathroom didn't work and we had to use the bathtub.

I liked the good location (the bus stop to the city centre is 3m away) and one of the friendliest staff I've ever come across. Since I had to book this place on rather short notice as our previous reservation got cancelled, we had to arrive late at nearly 20:00 o'clock. A very friendly person helped us out on the phone to find the key lockbox and get in because it was locked. The room was very cosy, there was even Netflix and other apps on the smart TV. There was also tea and a water heater. I also loved the bathtub. In the morning a kind lady made us toast, croissants, eggs and coffee and we had a very pleasant chat with her. She even gave us the contact information of a friend of hers in the city centre to leave our luggage! A definite recommendation!

I had a very noisy room. It's badly insulated you can hear traffic all night, and the guests on the next room.

Some of the breakfast consisted of cheap and, to me, unpleasant constituents. Cereal was fine, but the rest of the meal was marred by inferior orange juice, tea, bread (for toast) and butter. It would not cost much to give guests a good breakfast experience. Eggs were all that was available as a cooked breakfast. I didn't mind that but the accompaniments needed to be of an acceptable standard.

This Guest House is in the centre of Summertown, a great place to be.

Staff may be a phone call away when you arrive or have any queries in the evening, but very helpful.

Lovely, comfortably furnished double room overlooking peaceful back gardens and churchyard. Super comfortable bed, nice new bathroom, decent smart TV (bigger than current photo!). Healthy breakfast with freshly-cooked eggs, toast, fruit, yogurt, cereals and more. Welcoming, friendly hosts. Well located. Shops and several coffee and eating places right outside in Summertown. City's a quick bus ride, 15mins by bike or walkable by a choice of pleasant routes.

I was in the family room and it was very comfortable. Linens were great. The location worked perfectly for my visit to Oxford, enjoyed the neighborhood ambience, conveniences and easy, quick bus ride into centre.

Even if the check out time in Booking is stated as between 11-11:30, the stuff of the property became really persistent at 11 o'clock, knocking and opening the room door to our friend who was finishing his shower at 11:10. It is reasonable to waiting your guests to leave the room on time, but being annoying before the stated time, is taking a lot of the otherwise excellent experience. Please correct the check out time on Booking if you're expecting guests to leave the room by 11 am. The street in front of the property is a busy one, so it can get a bit noisy.

The mira shower! No non slip mat in the shower cubicle and the water pressure constantly changed . One minute it was hot then stone cold. Very annoying. Nice shower unit though.

Very clean,comfortable and friendly staff. Great sized room, could open window for fresh air, great. Also had a great desk and comfy chairs The mattress was perfect. Parking was good. Altogether really pleased.

well most of the time if you need stuff no one there if you need anything you can’t find out anyone except the morning time and toilet is very congested it’s very small it’s not comfortable commode ..☹️

The bath was very high and I could not get into it to get a shower as I have problems with my legs. Any fit person would have no problem though. Had to keep moving the chair to get to the wardrobe.

Lovely warm welcome. Everyone was very helpful. Easy to get a bus down into the city if you don't want to walk. Room was spacious and the bed were comfortable. All in all very pleasant stay.

The remote control was brand new and didn’t work at first, so I had to set it up myself. Room wasn’t very clean; dust under bed and some dirt in the bathroom.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Nice comfortable beds. Good room facilities and tasty breakfast.
