Very cooled . Very poor value for money felt like a refugee. Sorry they would get better accommodation. They money I paid , I honestly feel robbed, toilet was so cooled you couldn't go. The room had no heating. This was like a a nightmare weekend break you watch on TV.

(The only thing I liked was the T.v. and headboard. ) Plènty light bulbs for a room 3x4m ...9 in total, still not enough heat to keep you warm more like wild camping.. really disappointed with this booking

Room was very small and hardly any room for a couple, we were told we would have a private bathroom but were given a tiny toilet and shower on the landing which another room decided to use. Bathroom was so small when sat on the toilet my face was up against the door and my partner could not even stand in the shower. Have to crouch over to use the sink.

The property was filthy, everything was thick with dust and clearly hadn't been cleaned to any standard which is shocking given the Covid situation. The headboard was probably the worst as that's right above your head but even the tables, lampshades and accessories (like that clock beside the bed) are disgusting. If you're around 6ft 2 the feature lights are head height so you can see just how much dust is built up and if like me you're asthmatic you'll soon be tight chested and need to open a window. We also had a shower room with dead wasps on the floor, hair and nail clippings on the headboard, a wrapper beside the bed and the carpet was clearly covered in hair from previous guests. We were forced to stay the first night while we found other accommodation. The walls are paper thin so between the sound of other guests talking and the gargling boiler we barely slept. Their claim of sound proofing is far from true. As the site has no staff and relies upon self check in/out it took several emails and phone calls to get through to Skies Holidays who manage the place and they offered to refund the 2 nights we didn't want to stay. 3 weeks later I am still chasing them for the refund. At £122 a night this place is a total rip off and no better than a hostel. For £135 we found ourselves a lovely BnB suite with private parking and patio plus breakfast included, I really don't know how they can justify the price!

Sadly I'm leaving my first negative review, based on a number of issues regarding our stay. The hotel is rated 4star to our amazement as it's no more than a glorified hostel. I feel the wide lens, cleverly taken, photoshopped pictures are deceiving and to mislead people like ourselves into believing we have booked as advertised a cute, comfortable cottage stay in the heart of Windermere. Sadly this is not the case. Instead we was situated at the very top of Windermere on a ridiculously busy and noisy main road. The property actually claims on the website to be a proud certified property where you can be EXTRA sure of a welcoming stay. How is beyond me as you don't see or meet a single person. Instead you are text a code for the entrance and that's it! With regards to the noisy road it makes for a very uncomfortable sleep. Secondary glazing should be fitted to resolve the issue. We was kept awake both nights by noisy lorry's and emergency services. Also the property has erected partition walls which are poorly insulated with zero soundproofing. We could hear every person's movements and in our case deafening snoring from next door. Also as a builder who specializes in HMO / fire upgrade works I would highlight the fire regs are by no means safe. Fire doors with standard hinges not fire rated. Filled holes in doors voiding it's fire rating, ironmongery non fire rated, no fire & smoke intermittent strips installed, no self closing device Incase of emergency. Last but not least the bathroom was so dated and impractical. Bathroom fan with tape holding it on. Shower dirty and very poor water pressure. Toilet you have to reverse yourself in to because of sloping ceiling and we are not tall. Overall like it said it's no more than a posh hostel. A few fancy lights and throws to paper over the poor state of the property.

This is hostel not hotel. Very loud. You can here all at her people there . We found also some drags in our drawer Garden stinks Website was showing different price and the property charged us more . I have sent message to the property but never received any answer! Old pictures on the website . Rooms looks different.

Slightly small and the shower could either be on a boiling temperature or freezing - no inbetween. It’s also quite noisy when other guests are in their room and arriving back late at night and you can hear through the walls!

Great location, the room was clean, great instructions for accessing the property.

I hit my head on the bathroom ceiling, so if you're tall might be a bit uncomfortable. Also I couldn't call the hotel at all.

The bed was comfy and the room was stylish, I also liked how it was keyless

The room rate was extortionate for what it was, a dated building with narrow corridors/stairwell as well as fittings such as window. There wasn’t as much as a bottle of water in the room, no adequate chair and poor ventilation. If it wasn’t completely impractical for me to have left I would have done so, perhaps the worst place I’ve ever booked.

Not a guesthouse at all and should not be advertised as one. We literally paid over the odds to sleep there. Our 16 year old daughter was on the top floor and we were on the ground floor. Not ideal. No en-suites to the rooms, I don’t like sharing bathroom facilities. Which were not great by the way. Rooms were small & cramped. Therefore we would not stay here again. Disappointed.

This is not a guesthouse at all…it is a hostel, the rooms on the website look lovely, but it’s the furnishings that make it look nice & modern. The location was ok, as just round the corner from the centre.

Nothing really - the room was £403 for a two nite stay - I don't now about you but I would expect 5 star for that - the room pictures were very deceiving as they were for different rooms in the property. Our room was 3 metres by 3 metres up to the 'wardrobe' then the 'bathroom' was tiny probably 1.5 m by 2. I was so shocked when we seen the room but I new that there would be no chance of staying elsewhere

We were in room 3 which is a loft room with a tiny ensuite bathroom. The ceiling is sloped and you can't stand up in it all as a 6ft tall man. The bathroom was run down and there was no hand wash. The whole room got stuffy as there is no window in the bathroom and the extractor fan was garbage. Despite the room faults the cost of the room is the same as other ensuites and very expensive as a whole. Another couple turned up for their stay while I was there and didn't get sent the access codes to their room. This was at 11 pm. Had to call the emergency line 12 times over a 2 hour period before someone picked up to tell them their codes. Crazy.

The sound carries clear from above, below and adjacent rooms. The beds are (uncomfortably) hard.

Was clean and everything was well organised. Decor was tasteful.

No hand towels....no staff to sort out the problems.....bed very very small....room is so small...if you have fear from small closed room then run away.....generally avoid at any cost....
