Wish I'd know the standard rooms didn't have a fridge in them as I was expecting one. But will upgrade next time if I need one then. Reception did tell me, when I mentioned the lack of fridge at check out, that if I ever needed something in a fridge while staying in a standard room, there were spare fridges available for the staff to put items in on my behalf, which was useful to know.

Excellent city centre location. Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Well maintained, clean and well equipped room (standard too) So comfortable..... seating and bed.

First room had a bad problem with a smell of drains, sewage, and was unbearably hot with no ability to cool it down (AC unit wasn’t working). There’s a really funky smell in parts of the hotel. I think it’s out of their hands, it’s most likely an infrastructure problem inherited due to the age of the building. But other parts of the hotel are fine.

Location and staff, when I asked to move room they just did it, no nonsense, gave me a nice airy room with good light. The staff were excellent.

Room was too hot and had no way of opening window. Mentioned it at reception in the morning and they said we have to contact them to open it with a master key. Shouldn't have to ring reception to open a window in the middle of the night.

Great customer service- the hotel had some issues with the air conditioning when we were there but the housekeeping team provided fans and opened windows and free drinks and gym passes were offered as compensation. Si grest service !!!

I personally did not like that the windows opened onto the shopping centre and not to open air. But there is air conditioning in the room so it might not bother everyone. Being a shopping centre facing room also means music from restaurants is noticeably loud inside the room, although it got turned off about 9.30

Beautiful reception and bar, the room was lovely, big and modern for this price range, bed very comfy. All the staff were great.

We had an issue in the room as no phones where connected, this was only discovered when we had an issue with tv - which would not load any channels. So as I couldn’t contact reception AND because we were only given one key card which is also used to work the lift. I had no choice other than to walk 5 flights of stairs to raise this issue (I left my teenage daughter in the room as she in the bathroom as without key card I didn’t want to leave her in the dark room) so walking back up the five flights of stairs was “interesting”. The maintenance team attended quickly but could not get phones working. They did eventually get some channels on the tv by working some magic. I was grateful for something rather than nothing, both were really helpful and clearly hard working. We were told a new phone would be sent up! That never happened and my concern was raised that this could be a health & safety risk should there be issue with fire etc. but it was never resolved. The young gentleman who had just come on duty did offer us a free drink or food for inconvenience. But as we were at a concert it was way too late to order anyway and we only stayed one night. I raised the issue about the phones x 2 and the tv to reception upon Checking out. And I hope this has been resolved for room 515. But I left worried that it wouldn’t be. This was a superior room and we loved that it was very private and a huge almost suite type room. To sum up we use Radisson Blu in many locations but on this occasion the lack of attention to detail was disappointing and inconvenience with the issues raised would make me alert if I stayed here again.

Location for first direct arena and train station is perfect. Quiet hotel and felt safe, decor and staff first class. We stayed here one night in a superior room to attend a concert. No breakfast on this occasion as we like to eat brunch at Bills Restaurant (can highly recommend)
