Only negative is portion sizes for price were tiny. But the food was excellent quality just very small portions.

Not sure what all the negativity is about! The place was busy and everyone knew what they were doing. Nicola on reception was superb as was Amy in the cocktail bar. Would return tomorrow. Beautiful surroundings.

the first might we got very little sleep as the central heating was jammed on . The hotel moved us to another room , but it would have been much better if we had been moved that night . Also the mini golf was covered in rabbit droppings , and the garden benches by the mini golf were broken .

The breakfast was excellent , the pool lovely , and the grounds and table tennis very enjoyable . the staff were very pleasant .

That the pool has restricted hours for children to use it. The room was far too hot an we couldn't get the radiators to turn down!

Breakfast was lovely, could do with a bit more choice of things on, Continental side.

Hotel was slightly tired in some parts. Newer side of the building (spa area) was much more modern.

Staff lovely and always on hand. I don't think i've been to a hotel with as many staff ready to help, which was nice to see.

Stayed here for our wedding anniversary and it was a lovely stay. The food was delicious and well priced, the facilities and the room where both beautiful. We both really enjoyed our stay.

Too many tables in the thoroughfare to the breakfast buffet which was like sitting in a draughty corridor of people passing. Breakfast quality was not great and the cold options limited. A few areas could do with a refresh.

We chose an upgrade and stayed in room 5 at the front of the main building. Lovely room and view across the garden. All was well untill late evening on the Saturday. Please consider your guests and do not place people who are not part of the wedding party in rooms next to the wedding celebrations. The disco was so loud so no sleep till well after midnight.

Food Breakfast and Evening meals very good. Bar and reception staff friendly and helpfull.

There isn’t a lot to do within the hall apart from the pool and spa.

The property was beautiful and worth the property. It’s definitely a place for relaxing as the area is quiet and not a lot to do.

I booked as a family requiring 2 rooms which were 2 floors apart! We were given a small double room as our second room (family of 5) which was newly refurbished to a high level. However, it had a partition door and we could hear the room next door's entire conversation. I asked if myself and my daughter could be moved, which they did in a heartbeat. We were moved to a larger room on the old part of the building which hadn't been updated. It was very dated and looked dirty even though it wasn't. There was a loud constant hum from the generator all night and the room was too warm because hot pipes pass through it. However, the bed was comfy!

The pool, crazy golf, beautiful gardens, family room was exceptional. We attended a wedding which was very well organised. The food was outstanding.

Tennis courts need some tlc, live band would have been 👌. Quite a long walk for a smoker if your in the spa rooms, would like a smoking area that side of the building.

Beautiful grounds, well kept for a property of age…stunning. Staff are all very pleasant.

We had to wait an extraordinary long time for our main course at dinner in the restaurant. When it finally came, we suspect that it had been reheated. It certainly was not worth the money paid for it. Also, the chips were just placed straight onto the tablecloth in their metal drainage container and no dish put under the gravy boat. We mentioned all of this to reception on leaving. The young lady who took our order in the restaurant was not to blame.
