The pool was lovely just a tad cold. Some extra coffees and milks in the room would be great.

The location is beautiful, sea view room - amazing. Food was good. Was a very clean hotel. Staff were excellent, booked a twin but got a double room, reconfigured with no problems and very promptly.

Very comfortable, sizeable and practical rooms. Excellent beach location. Enjoyable breakfasts and restaurant meals. Pleasant and efficient staff. Reasonable rate. One of our main ‘go to’ choices when looking for accommodation in this part of the Ayrshire coast

Breakfast and dinner both had a good choice of menu, with good food. Room was spacious with plenty of facilities.

My room was ok I paid for Aron view as it was our anniversary never received my special request quilt cover had a hole and quilt was bumpy and too small for duvet noticing small differences from last visit .

TV was a little small to view from the seating area or bed. I was asked if I would mind moving to another room regarding an issue with another guest and stairs. I said I was OK with that. They assured me I would like the new room. However, it was actually a massive suite - 4 beds, dining table/chairs, huge seating area, etc. I found it too big for one person and I lost my wonderful view. Still, I had agreed to move so did not say anything to the staff.

First room was awesome. Perfect size, comfortable bed, superb sea view and bathroom was great. Breakfast was very good including the buffet section.

We paid extra to check in early, we were booked in and cleaner was still in our room for 15 mins whilst we stood outside room. We entered room at 12.25 and were suppose to meet people at wedding reception at 1. After we got into our room the cleaner had forgotten stuff to put in bathroom and had to come back, we were trying to get ready then another chap at the door as she had forgotten her coffee cup. There was still empty canvas bags also left in room which we binned ourselves. The reception staff apologised for the lateness of entering our room and gave us a bottle of Prosecco as that’s all they could really do. We would love to come back but think the rushing about with less time to get ready dampened it for us, especially with the cleaner clearly taking her time when we told her we were in a rush

Food and drink themselves were nice but the staff were painfully slow and inconsistent. Items were missed from the order and on more than one occasion waiting over 25 minutes for a single drink order. I will add this was midweek and so fairly quiet.

You decided to shut the bar at 11am sharp when there was clearly a lot of a pre-wedding party still wanting to spend time and money drinking and socialising ahead of a wedding the next day.

Squeeky floor.. breakfast was really good but on our last day it was really busy and standard of breakfast and some staff was pretty poor. Quite unhelpful when we tried for an early check in which we offered to pay extra.. complimentary water pretty standard everywhere but not here and ar £3 a small bottle that is a poor show in today's hotels

The facilities are exceptional. The hotel manages to still retain a lovely, relaxed, calm feel about it even though it is such a large hotel. Outside space is delightful, especially on a sunny day. The view is outstanding, but attention to detail really makes this hotel. Spa and pool area is wonderful and relaxing. We did part of the ayrshire coastal path on a beautiful sunny day, and coming back to the hotel was the perfect end to a lovely day. Breakfast and evening meal were suoerb and breakfast is also very well oganised for the morning rush! The staff were great , helpful, and very pleasant at all times. . We will be back. I just loved it!

Felt there wasn't enough staff at afternoon time keeping tables outside clean etc and toilets weren't checked as often they were wee bit nessy

Staff not the best. Warm beer. Not overly pleasant. Always seems to be young staff these days that dont seem interested on the job.

The pool not warm jacuzzi the same and sauna out of order . The steam room wasn't great either. We spoke both with club members and other guests and they felt the same.

Breakfast was first class,matched by the wonderful and competent staff.
