A hotel with adequate facilities for a short stay

The hotel requires some work to update and repair it. A new mattress would be appreciated. The hotel is close to a major road and consequently the room we had on the front was subject to traffic noise.

The proprietor was helpful, welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was good, the bathroom adequate. The position was good for walking by the river or getting into the city centre. Worcester is an interesting city witha spectacular cathedral and other historic buildings. Some good pubs and restaurants.

The room was superficially clean but actually quite grubby (huge cobweb on window, filthy electrical sockets) and shabby. The approach to the bedrooms is dingy, and breakfast ‘on the ochre’ is certainly different.

The location is wonderful, and my room had a lovely view of the river. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was freshly cooked (but limited choice and no tea!). This could be an absolute gem with more attention to detail.

It is, as other reviews have noted, desperately in need of a refurb. The bathroom was extremely tired. The shower door would not close, so I had a massive puddle on the bathroom floor after each shower. The bed was not terribly comfortable. The pub is on a main road and there’s no double glazing, so there’s a lot of traffic noise. I couldn’t get the TV to work.

Very friendly staff. Good location for the centre of Worcester. Close to the river (which is nice.)

    Good location but seriously dated.

The hotel is situated next to a busy road. The adjacent car parking is £6 for 24 hours. The hotel has been flooded on a number of occasions so the bar and downstairs rooms are fairly austere but functional. No real ale. This is a Grade 2 listed building and requires some serious investment to update the hotel to 21st century standards. Previous reviews have mentioned the various decorative faults in the bathrooms and so I won't repeat them. My single bed needed a new mattress as the springs were starting to come through. Overpriced for what you get.

Having read previous reviews our expectations were not high. Indy Singh is a very welcoming host and cooks a decent Full English breakfast. Fruit juice, cereal and tea or coffee are available and breakfast is worth the extra £8. Our room was clean, had a river view and being a triple room was quite spacious. The town centre is a short walk away where we spent an interesting evening.

Bathroom has missing tiles, cracked toilet Cistern Lid, Loo roll holder broken, just all very tired and botched. The single bed had a spring poking through the mattress.

Location, car park, view from window, cleanliness. The host was an absolute gentleman. Very accommodating .

It really needs an update. Furniture is very tired. Bathrooms definitely need updating. Everything needs a good paint and clean. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was clean and fresh. Although the beds were very low for some reason.

The owner could not have been more helpful. Very welcoming, a really nice guy. The cooked breakfast was good. Would stay again once updates have been made.

The chest of drawers hadn’t been cleaned as cigarette litter in it. The shower tray was mouldy and shower very unappealing.

Booked single room for my step son who had to work late in the Crowngate centre that night so very convenient. Bed linen was clean and staff helpful.
