Standard double was very compact and so was the bathroom. One of the smallest hotel rooms I've stayed in Hotel tired and dated needs money spent on it. Outside needs a lot of tlc, the walk up was drab and depressing.

Good location for our visit to friends. Breakfast was great as it was cooked to order, no buffett which makes a nice change. Staff were friendly.

WHY IS THE LIGHTING OPERATED BY THE DOOR KEY ? WHY CAN'T THE LIGHT SWITCHES WORK INDEPENDANTLY WITHOUT BEING CONNECTED TO A GUEST'S PRESENCE IN THE ROOM PUTTING THE KEY IN A WALL UNIT?

Great location, very quiet. A lovely walk about 10 minutes to the town, park and canal. The team at the hotel were very friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was really good and beautifully presented.

Rooms weren’t serviced in the 2 nights we stayed. The twin room was fab but the single rooms are exceptionally small.

Breakfast was continental or full English, nothing in-between and no proper coffee. Just a thermal carafe of instant coffee. No biggie but if you are like me and good coffee, especially in the morning, is your drug of choice, then you may want to look elsewhere. The staff were friendly. The chap who seemed to be the manager was trying to be funny and friendly but took a joke a step too far with my OCD daughter, causing her some anxiety—nothing too serious but that, coupled with the lack of breakfast options and good coffee is enough that we wouldn't want to stay there again.

The bed and bedding were very comfy, and we all slept well. The room was light and airy with plenty of space and the shower was great. It has a nice big car park and is close to a small supermarket. Windows were easy to open, which is always a plus when you arrive in a hotel and the heating is cranked! We like fresh air.

Not enough staff to open bar or restaurant so had to leave site for dinner. Breakfast was ok at best, stale bread on the continental. Breakfast was included on the booking, but apparently this was only continental (this was not mentioned anywhere during the booking process) and had was asked to pay another £10 for hot breakfast.

Would like to see more toiletries in the bathroom and very limited staff on both days. Only very young girls working on front desk (on their own) who weren’t actually old enough / authorised to serve any drinks from the fully stock bar (which was fine but a bit odd).

The outside of the hotel is a bit run down because of all the ivy but I did enjoy my stay in St.Andrews ☺️

We had trouble with a broken shower head holder and we were kindly offered a different room but we weren’t fussed enough to move everything. It did get chilly after 12:00pm as it seems like they turn the heating off so getting to bed at this time was quite hard. Other than that the bed was comfortable and the place was clean and tidy.

Lovely little hotel that had all the basic facilities that were needed for the night. Great location and helpful staff. They accommodated us very well along with our other family members. Check out time was also reasonable and the lady on reception during check out was lovely.
