The property carpark was a little difficult to locate and was up quite a few stairs. Danielle was there to help carry my luggage both on arrival and departure.

The property was managed by the owners which gave it a personal touch. I had items in my room that went beyond the normal. Property within walking distances to the attractions. Danielle also allowed me to park my car after departure time

We were in the attic room ,and had to ask for extra cutlery and plate .this shouldn't have happened as there was only two of us !!

Very clean and owners very welcoming.we didn't eat breakfast but it smelled delicious. Parking at property great and they lock the gates at10pm,so safe.we were in the attic ,so self contained.walking distance from town.very comfy bed and clean.

Great breakfast, two dining rooms available, breakfast time to suit guests, great. Parking was very good. Comfy beds. Great location, city centre walkable and on bus route.

My only "meh" was the shower in our room was a little claustrophobic for my 6.3ft husband. Only mentioning for review purposes because if you are of larger build or very tall you may struggle a little. I can't comment on shower facilities in other rooms I'm 5.5 and it was fine for me 😊

Everything was fabulous, the hotel is in a brilliant location for exploring the city as it's a 10 minute walk from the center and plenty of food options even closer. The car park was a major bonus. Breakfast in the morning was delicious as was the coffee. Warm, welcoming environment with fabulous owners. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in York.

Great hotel located at a very convenient location, just a 15 minute walk from train station and city centre. Rooms were comfy and cozy, breakfasts were delicious. The owners who run the hotel were very helpful with any questions.

Do not like rain head showers, especially when there is no hand shower option. There are shower caps provided, however this is no good for customers who don’t want water on their face/eyes. The shower cubicle is so small that you can’t step back to avoid the water overhead.

Rooms are basic, but have everything you could need. Lovely owner. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Great location. Rooms at back are quiet, although still walking distance to town.

Very welcoming staff. Helpful information about the City of York. Good parking facilities. Close to the main city centre. good choice of breakfasts. I liked the way the rooms were named after different apples and the apple theme through the hotel.

We received a very warm greeting from the owner on arrival and the staff at breakfast were very polite. The location was good as it was only a 15 minute walk to York centre and on bus routes. Facilities were basic but well maintained, comfortable and very clean.

For us it was perfect, but if you have mobility issues you might find the distance from attractions a bit of a challenge and there is no wheelchair access

Car park was spacious for a guest house and secure. Room was clean, a good size and amenities provided. We enjoyed the biscuits and Yorkie 😁 breakfast was very satisfying with optional extras. The owners were friendly and left us to our own devices

One quite noisy night which was a bit of a shame. That's it.

The comfort of the bed, the draws, the tv, the kitchen facilities and a nice sized bathroom. Hosting was great, and very much enjoyed a well cooked breakfast in an empty room, just how i like it.

Very clean and comfortable room. Lovely warm welcome from the hosts, they could not do enough for us. Breakfast was excellent and it was great to have the parking so close to the centre. Nice touch having a DVD player in the room and good choice of films to watch. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

The Breakfast was cheap and tasty. The room was comfortable. And the staff were lovely. It was also only a short 10-15 minute walk from the centre of town. The owners also went above and beyond to ensure a coat we ha dleft in the cuppbard was returned to us.
