Parts of the building feel like they are still under renovation with stepladders, building materials etc

Location was very good, with access to the seafront, restaurants and bars. Did the job asked of it

The property is outdated and in dire need of some refurbishments (wall paper peeling off in room, office blinds in room). The downstairs entrance smells of cigarettes.

The location was very good and they upgraded our room to a lovely sea view.

The shaving/mirror light in a dark bathroom couldn’t be fixed. No breakfast which we had booked. No restaurant service, we think it’s been a victim of Covid, but we weren’t informed that the booking offers had been changed or offered any discount or compensation.

    Good location and polite staff.

The owner was away and there was only one member of staff on site at the time to check in. Because check-in time co-incided with the start of a Six Nations match, it took a while for someone to check me in because he was also manning the bar

Bed was very comfortable, bed and bathroom clean. Excellent location - ease of access to shops and beach. Look forward to staying again in July.

The hotel was soulless, the bar was so bland no wonder few people used it. There seemed no food options available for breakfast. For the price you would have expected a very good breakfast, however we booked for the location (Marriot Swansea was £8 cheaper per night).

Our room was very clean and a good size with a sea view

The hotel is a tired property. The rooms were small and bathroom cramped. Rooms at the back of the property smelt of sewage. There was no breakfast provided, despite being shown on the website. The prices being charged for the rooms are extortionate for what is provided. We were there as part of a wedding party so had booked 8 rooms in total, all of them had issues. The cost per night suggests a premium hotel, it is not, it is more like Fawlty Towers!

The location is perfect, this is the reason the hotel was picked

This is the first time we have been allocated Room 11. It is clean & well equipped until you try to use the bathroom. The handbasin is too small to wash your face or clean your teeth in, added to which a shelf has been fitted over it so you bump your head if you try! Also, the breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay, when we met other guests, shared useful info with them and the friendly staff. This time, we saw no other guests or staff so the previously warm atmosphere has left the place. We will not be staying there again!

We have stayed there for 1 or 2 nights at least three times every year for the last 8 years. The location is good and the breakfast staff remembered us and treated us like friends.

The Bathroom was poorly functioning and needed a plumber to fix it. The sink tap was loose. The large bath with jacuzzi didn’t work and the water was cool, so useless bath. The shower worked ok, but cool water. There was an unpleasant large stain on the chair seat.

There was no breakfast served - we had to go to a nearby cafe. The main room was spacious and had a great view and the bed was comfortable. The room was clean and the heating was put on when we asked.

We stayed in Room 37. The bathroom was 2 steps down from the bedroom but the bathroom door had no handle and was awkward to slide open/closed which allowed no privacy. The door was wooden which would be difficult to clean. This room is only suitable for single occupancy. The shower was small and the shower head held in place with rubber bands. Clothes hanging space was a rail behind the bedside cabinet which had to be moved to reach hanging items or bags on the floor.

The staff were very welcoming on our arrival and friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Although the room was not very big it was was clean and the bed comfortable. The location was excellent and they did contact us prior to arrival to advise of road closures due to a Marathon.

Dingy and run down. Nobody to check you in or out. WiFi absolutely hopeless. No breakfast available. Very noisy on the Saturday night. Chair cushion badly stained (by what!). Nowhere to park. This place really needs upgrading, and the price charged is way over the top for what you get.

The room was large and the location quite good but noisy. The staff were very pleasant and friendly (if you could find anyone).

No breakfast but reviews on the booking website referred to dietary options - very misleading. Needs update in corridors and stairs and a tidy up outside. First impression on arrival is “what have I done ?” The view of the bay is fine when the tide is in at night - other times all you see is mud and rocks. Parking had to be paid for. £100 per night is far too much for this property - needs to be reduced to £75. All in all very disappointing and shall not be returning.

    Clean room.
