Great stay and the staff were friendly and professional. We really enjoyed it and wished we would have booked for 2 nights not just the one. We will revisit the dovecote again for sure. Would recommend.

There could be a better light in the hallway during the day.

Continental breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice with pastries left for us both days The bed was comfortable Whole room and bathroom was clean, tidy and beautifully decorated.

The one & only thing i could think of that i wasn't too keen about was the loose sugar in the canister!

The Dovecote Inn is one of those places that i don't really want to tell anyone else just how nice it is just in case it gets far too popular & we don't get to stay again! The bedroom looks better than the website photo, which isn't usually the case! The idea of a breakfast tray in the room is perfect, especially with an early start like we had. We had a meal in the restaurant, delicious, all three courses! Hope we get to stay again.

Quirky layout with the bedroom and en suite toilet upstairs and the large bathroom with shower downstairs. Continental breakfast is taken in the room and was minimal with cereals, yogurt, fruit, toast but no cheese or meats.

Lovely little b&b staff fantastic and very friendly room was great modern very comfortable bed big modern bathroom.Great continental breakfast served in the room with plenty of variety. The evening meal in the restaurant was great the best fish and chips ever would definitely stay again

My only two things were the noise of the mini fridge in the bedroom during the night and the shower needed re sealing as it had gone a little black.

What's not to like? Loved it.

Perfect stopover Lake District to Essex. All staff were brilliant. Small and perfectly executed menu, food was great. Room was home from home, really cosy, great size and everything you could possibly want..Loved, loved loved the breakfast! This is no ordinary "continental served in your room" really well thought through, ample, fresh and flexible, well done on that. Bar was friendly, well stocked and welcoming. Chuffed to have found the Dovecote. Will be back ! Many thanks all involved in my stay.

The restaurant was a bit cold and could have done with some heating.

The continental breakfast was excellent with a great choice including fresh bread, fruitfresh orange juice and proper milk ! There was plenty of tea and coffee available.

The pub is closed on Sundays, a point which I completely missed, when booking.

Really imaginative conversion of farm outbuildings into guest rooms. Nicely-appointed, comfy bedroom with excellent shower room. The owner, Sam, was very welcoming and had been waiting for my late arrival. This place deserves to succeed, such is the inventive spirit and enthusiasm of its owners.
