Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe apartment was tired and dated in places, but clean. It looked like it hadn’t been updated in some time and some TLC is needed. Cooking facilities were quite basic (no coffee maker or bottle opener, but a rolling pin, why?). The lane and courtyard leading to the apartment were scruffy.

United KingdomThe up keep of the property was disappointing although cleanliness was fine the tiles on shower n the paintwork through was v rough in areas. Lamps not steady as each had loose parts. Kitchen sink area damp n wooden worktop warped also tap not fixed well. The actual building is lovely but the apartment needs basic upkeep n maintenance of simple tasks I recorded all this with reception on departure

United KingdomWe has some terrible upstairs neighbours on the first night (bunch of young lads by the sounds of it) and we felt the hotel could have dealt with that situation better as we didn't get any sleep that night (although they did refund us the cost of our stay that night by way of apology!)

United KingdomBeds where awful! The mattress felt like it’s from the Second World War! Uncomfortable and cold place! The door on the bathroom couldn’t even close properly! Traveling with young kid the bed wasn’t made up for him! Told reception but no one bothered to come and get it done , when the booking was made for 3 ppl! The floors were dirty and dusty! Very close to main road , could hear noises from passing cars all night! Disappointed from this place as I’ve stayed before many times but no more for me! I’ll be choosing different accommodation on my next trip to Inverness!

United KingdomThere was really nothing to complain about though when we ate in the dining room on the first two nights of our stay we did notice a change in the attitude of the team on duty on the second night. On the first night the team had been attentive and friendly but the next night we found the staff to be less efficient than their colleagues
The flat was lovely. It could do with someone tending to the paintwork but, it was, nevertheless, a really lovely, spacious apartment. The hotel itself is beautiful and the food in the restaurant is really very good.

The apartment itself was small and cramped. The extra bed was in the actually living area leaving no space to move . There was no toiletries (soap) in the main bathroom, and very limited crockery and utensils in the kitchen. Ther staff were unhelpful .
