The room was a little smaller than expected. the window handle was broken but we managed to lock the window. The extractor fan in the bathroom didn`t work, the electrical point for this was hanging off the wall, we didn`t touch it. The fire escape indicator light was inside the room, very annoying. They did supply eye masks but we didn`t use them, again annoying.

The room was clean and comfortable.

It was in a great characterful area of Maldon and in an attractive setting. It was everything needed for a 1 night stay with lots of little niceties - chocolates, biscuits, toiletries, fresh water, earl grey tea bags etc. Breakfast choices were interesting and what we both had were delicious. Although we hadn’t planned to eat in the restaurant, as our booked restaurant appeared to be closed (they didn’t answer several phone calls) we managed to grab the last table and weren’t disappointed - great Italian food!

The bed was soooo comfy the room very welcoming water in the room which we always like. The shampoo and conditioner amazing too. We stay away most weeks for work and would highly recommend the bed probably the most comfortable one we have had in the U.K. HIGHLY RECOMMEND we would definitely stay again

I'm hard pushed to think of anything I didn't like.

The Limes is very comfortable and well ventilated. The breakfast is excellent too. We found the entrance to the car park hard to locate the first time. We phoned and were guided in. When leaving the car park the visibility is poor but there is a large TV screen showing CCTV of what is approaching unsighted from just around the corner. An impressive touch, thanks.

No view from windows (annexe room) but that’s the location and not the hotel’s fault.

Amazing rooms and facilities! It even smells like in a posh spa! Also was impressed with breakfast, mine was included and it’s probably one of the best breakfasts that I’ve had in the UK so far (and I travel a lot!)

The only downside was the air freshener which seemed to achieve the opposite. Light sleepers might need to know that this is on a road which is busy 24/7. Despite double glazing some noise got through.

Good central location with car parking. Clean, good sized ground floor room with modern en-suite bathroom. Good shower. Hanging space and drawers Excellent breakfast options. Very accommodating to vegans. Ambiance of the Al Fresco was good even in cold, damp March. Generous heating- we turned it down quite a bit. Friendly staff

Could have had a walk in shower. Was a little awkward for my elderly mum to get over the bath to have a shower as she didn’t feel very safe.

Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and loved the pastries. The restaurant was very pleasant and comfortable. Would have loved it if the restaurant had been opened on a Sunday evening to enjoy a meal

The only downside was that there was an occupant of another room who insisted on having their TV up so loud until after past 2am in the morning which kept us awake.

We enjoyed the upgrade and the room was really lovely.

Early checkout

Room was clean and cosy. Mini bar with complimentary drinks was a nice touch as was half a decanter of Disaronna. Bed was super comfy. The breakfast was huge and good quality ingredients. Location was superb, in walking distance of Maldon High Street with array of shops, cafes and restaurants

Only one very small issue, when I arrived it took me a little time to find someone to check me in. But once I found the young lady was very helpful

I was very impressed with the experience, I travel a bit for business and this is one is now one of my favorite place to stay. The food was well cooked and tasted fantastic truly Italian food. Also Breakfast hit the spot
