This is just a personnel observation the duvet was too heavy which is a common theme in hotels. Especially when it is easy to obtain lightweight heat regulated duvets such as spun-down.

I only stayed one night!

The staff are super helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They are beautifully finished with top tea and coffee making facilities. Iron, hairdryer, and toiletries. Water pressure in the shower was amazing, and then... the breakfast! It's genuinely second to none. 100% value for money.

Could book table in the restaurant as staying over but asked for another table as was being placed in the middle of the bar area. As booked should have had a better table ready and offered. There was one - we were moved to it! Didn't detract from the stay but was a shame we had to ask.

Ieaving and not staying for two nights. When going for breakfast, the coffee, tea, and toast making area could be improved. It's a little dark and cramped.

We were tired from travelling and a hospital visit. We were woken up by housekeeping making a lot of clattering noise outside our room at 7,30 in the morning.

I would have liked a walk in shower in the bathroom for the £170:a night we paid. The shower was in the bath and only had an over head shower fitment. It was not marked hot/cold and On/Off and you had to put your hand through the cascade of water to get to the taps, risking scalding water.

Breakfast was superb and the meal we ate in the evening Staff were very friendly and efficient The room was quiet, in an annex with short walk under cover to the main building

There is very little to improve upon and whilst it is a bit pricey for a pub in this location I would say the quality compensates. I have stayed frequently and always been satisfied.

A great place with excellent restaurant attached where the food and service are great. Rooms are modern and contemporary with very comfy beds and outstanding levels of housekeeping. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Everything, from the second we walked in till we left the next morning we were made to feel so welcome by every staff member and nothing was too much, it was good to see a team all with hospitality in their blood and they all worked so well together, I did leave my debit card and it was kept for me to collect the next day, breakfast was also absolutely spot on, we can’t wait to come back and stay with you again, thank you all so very much, Mat and Ronnie

Quite noisy, perhaps it was the location of our room & the fact there was a wedding, the noise didn’t go on ridiculously late but for anyone wanting an earlier night than we had it could be an issue. Didn’t spoil our stay
