We had booked and paid for breakfast only to be told afterwards that hotel didn’t serve breakfast until 8am. We (like others in the hotel) were attending the Kiltwalk and had to leave before 8. Hotel staff made no effort whatsoever to provide even toast and tea before we left. Neither was there an offer to discuss the fact we had paid for breakfast. The Glasgow Kiltwalk is an annual event, so they should have been prepared to offer some form of breakfast.

Traditional look from outside was attractive. The rooms were good and comfortable. The location was good.

The breakfast start time , just for this one day , should have been earlier. As the bus that transfers walkers to the start at Glasgow Green or Cumbernauld leaves at 0815 prompt and it’s a 10 minute walk from the Hotel. Breakfast needs to be from 6am and food geared towards a walkers diet. Not a lot to ask for as this could be arranged at the time you book the hotel.

The atmosphere was brilliant. “ All “ of the staff, and there were many this Kiltwalk w/e we’re really friendly. Especially our slim tall chap ( sorry memory fade ) who was so welcoming and daft , and the wee Lass ( server ) who was exceptional. Well done all of you, as after my 14 mile walk I was allowed to use a guest room to shower and change clothes in. Thanks house - keeping 🫂. There is no reason that we wouldn’t go back there next year to do the 23 mile and my partner ( Lui ) do the 3 mile. See you next year folks. PS: the beer garden holds 250 revellers and it was rammed !!!.

    - Some of the staff, notably a girl at the counter was not very friendly. A smile never costs a thing ! - The shower took ages to get warm… The dinner at night was not enough. We only had 6 raviolis. Needless to say that we were still starving !

The building is nice and welcoming !

An option of just cereal and toast for breakfast would be good. The cooked breakfast was good but sometimes you don't feel like a big breakfast,

The location is lovely. Nice pub with lots of seating and big screens showing the football matches. Plenty of variety on the menu.

The tables, floors and windows in the dining area were not clean (picture available) and felt a bit dated, even for a country Inn. One of the mattresses in the room had labels stating when to turn them (our stay was April and the mattress said side up June - August so not turned in a while) We ate in the restaurant one night and food took 20 minutes to come, but it tasted great despite that.

The Inn itself is in the perfect location for travelers to the area because of the train station right next door, Loch Lomond Shores about a mile away and the town shops. Free parking on site and free WiFi too are big pluses. The room we had was an excellent size with the bathroom as big as the bedroom area. The staff were welcoming (especially Chris) and live sport on 5 TVs in the bar area was fantastic.

The Tullie Inn is a lovely welcoming and cosy place. I stayed 1 night in the family room with my 2 children (15 & 8) which was very spacious and had everything needed. The breakfast was great. Staff where very friendly and extremely helpful.

The staff were pleasant but could have been nicer. While having our evening meal staff seemed to ignore our empty glasses, but were very attentive to the foreign couple behind us. We ordered more drinks which did not come, when we asked a second time the bar man brought them over himself. On leaving there was no question if everything had been ok, or if we had enjoyed our stay, the key was taken with no comment.

Our room was not as large as we hoped, more importantly clean and comfortable. The food was good, we had evening meal and breakfast. The weather was not good when we arrived, however from our previous visit we know there is a nice walk to the loch shore.

We were early by 1.5 hours (check in at 3pm) and were hoping to leave our bags in the meantime. On arrival we were greeted by an unsmiling member of staff, who asked if she could help us. I said we had a reservation for a room and immediately came the reply "Check in's at 3" and walking away as they spoke. I was taken aback and asked if we could leave our bags and they then pointed to a corner and said leave them there and walked off. But I had misheard - they actually said wait there. At that point we were near the bar area and there were other members of staff working. After a few minutes waiting the bar man shouted over that he would see to us shortly. The whole interaction was rude and dismissive and a bad first impression of this business. I started regretting booking this place. Will not be staying here again despite all the other friendly and welcoming staff. The bathroom tap did not have hot water. The shower cycled from being blistering hot and freezing cold in intervals of seconds.

All but one of the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent as it is next door to the train station and at the foot of Loch Lomond. We had been upgraded from a small double room to a large double room. The place has obviously gone through a recent refurbishment. We had dinner there the first night and the food was good.

My only issue was parking as we was out walking all day when came back they was no space to park we had to wait for a space to become available. This was on the booking tho so I was aware this could happen

Loved the size of the room as 2 adults and 2 children I imagined being cramped but the room was huge. loved the breakfast will definitely be visiting again
