Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomShowing signs of disrepair. Informed that they will be knocking the hotel down in December and then building a new one on the site. The family room could have been a little larger, but was still comfortable.
Really easy access to the beach.

United KingdomThe complimentary shampoo and shower gel in the large containers are great way of saving on the use of plastic.. the rooms were lovely and clean.. beautiful sea view. The beds and pillow very comfortable for a good night's sleep. Love the morrocan style of the hotel mixed with art deco... must have been amazing in its hey day.
Hotel felt a bit tired and neglected. The balcony area of the bar could have done with some TLC .. ie a lick of paint .. maybe some trailing flowers .. candles.. to give it some appeal... because the view from the bar is beautiful 😍

United KingdomBar man who didn't like us.
We were upgraded for the first time in our lives so we were pleased with that. Everything was great apart from one of the bar staff who didn't like it when we returned a cocktail which didn't taste right. From then on we felt that he was against us.

GibraltarWe ordered 2x g&t drinks after dinner and they were London prices! That was a bit of a shock. Also, I don’t like that the hotel is about to be torn down and turned into a Hilton.
The staff were so attentive and helpful. Really nice to deal with them. Our room was fabulous. So clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. There is aircon in the room too, which could be used to heat and cool. We ate dinner at the Nuno restaurant and the food was outstanding. The hotel is like no other I’ve stayed in. Lots of paths and steps to discover outside, resting over a cave with crashing water. Just wonderful!!

United KingdomThe only thing I would change is the reception staff did not know how to guide us with using public transport. We just wanted to know which bus to take to go to the west area of Gibraltar or which bus to take to go to main street or the airport, but they were not able to answer those simple questions.
They upgraded our room to a larger one because the one we originally booked was not available. They kept the original booking to sea view. It was clean, with air conditioner and comfortable beds. I wanted to book spa treatments but there was nothing available for the dates I travelled. Staff was polite and respectful.

United KingdomCan't fault the hotel in anyway, if I had to pick something it would be the breakfast, can get much better variety and quality in town where we ate most mornings except the last before travelling back home.
We had a spacious room, great views, good location within walking distance of 3 beaches. Town is a 20 minute walk which we did every morning. Staff polite and helpful.

United KingdomIf you wanted something to eat or drink at the bar you could not just put it on your room to pay bill when leaving. I found this out at breakfast when I wanted an English breakfast but was asked to pay £5 more as only continental breakfast was included. Would not just let me add to the room so had to go to my room to get my wallet. If you want to avoid this hassle or embarrassment you need to put money on your room by card at reception. They take a deposit on hold from your card which I arranged on second day. You can choose how much you put on, how nice of them. Their is a nice restaurant 5 minutes walk down on Catalan beach called sea wave bar which is much better then hotel in my opinion with more atmosphere. Excellent fresh food and drink at half the price of hotel and almost on the beach, ended up here at some point each day. Tip, restock mini bar in room with their lower cost drinks.
Clean property in a quite location In Gibraltar, room had carpet and terracotta tiles on entrance of room. Nice mix of English and Spanish decor with a view right out on to the sea. Nice to hear the sound of the sea at night. Could of done with a balcony but not all rooms Have. Friendly staff, excellent massage and cannot fault location with views over the beach and bay from the pool area. Free soft drinks in mini bar in room but was told once all gone you then have to pay. Not seen this before, nice touch but could of done with one or to alcoholic ones in the fridge.
