Didn't know room would be so far from beach. No hot tubs, just what looked like hottubs, but not. Room AC hard to figure out. Took awhile to be sure it was on and cooling because it is very quiet, blows softly from one part of vent strip near ceiling and can shutoff if key removed or a door is left open. Local traffic doesn't seem to have a speed limit in this conjested tourist area. Would not bring small children to this area.

Everything!! The staff was super lovely, attentive and caring, the room (deluxe with pool view on the other side of the street/main building) was modern and spacious, the breakfast offers anything you desire, the food at the beach was delicious. Can't complain about nothing and would highly recommend this place.

You need to pay additionally for the beach in front of the hotel, there are also some rocks, which could have been removed in my opinion.

Good service, nice place, clean rooms. We were able to get into the room an hour earlier than the original check in time. Would definitely recommend and would also visit again.

Well, it would have been nice if the brooms and buckets used for cleaning were not stored almost in front of our door.

I liked everything about this hotel. Located on the beautiful beach, the room was spacious and clean, the breakfast was really good and had a nice variety. Also, the spa in the hotel is excellent, the staff is attentive and so relaxing. Central location when it comes to the restaurants and bars. Highly recommended stay!

As it is a beach hotel, would be better if the sunbeds are included and guests can use them for free.

Nice location, nice staff and the hotel is beautiful. The restaurant at the beach is perfect for dinner or a snack during the day. Breakfast is also good and with a great choice of food. Nice beach. Would recommend!

We went half board, which on retrospect, was a mistake. The evening meal was very limited in choice, especially when you compare it to the a la carte menu. I have to say it wasn't bad, it's just that there was so much more on offer.

Breakfast was a very good buffet with a wide variety of breads, meats, cheese, fruit and a cooked breakfast section including a chef who would make omelettes to order. We had a beach view room with a patio that led out to the pool. The room was of a good size and well appointed. The hotel was on the beach, which was very well maintained and accessed via the pool area.

- The hotel only has a small number of irons available - we ended up waiting 3 days for a working iron! But the staff really helped us to secure one so try and get one as soon as you get in! - The aircon only works when the balcony door is fully closed/shut. We only worked that out on day 2 as it was the cleaners who left the balcony door slightly open. - We were told you're not allowed to bring your own food or drinks at the beach area and even the upper pool area; however, the food at the beach restaurant is delicious and there are some really good options for food and beach clubs in the local area!

We had a wonderful time at the Atlantica Amalthia Beach Hotel. We stayed for a week and were really pleased with the facilities and our room! A special thank you to Tatiana and Andreas who really went above and beyond to make our stay memorable! Our room was very clean and our beds were made each day with fresh towels provided by the lovely cleaners. The breakfast was tasty with good variations each day. I'd definitely be returning!

Images of the rooms are really generic, based on what we've booked we should have gotten direct pool access on 1st floor. We end up having a room with "the other building view" on the second floor. Finally, we managed to get another room on the second day and it was perfect!

The hotel is great overall, there are 4 pools, many facilities, great breakfast. The location is also perfect as the bus to Chania stops right in front and you are 20 mins to the town.

The service at the restaurant and pool bars was poor. Hotel guests must pay for use of the loungers on the beach. Unacceptable in my mind. The gym has no air conditioning, no yoga mats nor water. Basics in any hotel gym. The equipment was also dirty. At this price point one would expect a daily replenishment of bottled water in the rooms, but apart from two small bottles provided on the first day of a nine day visit there was none.

The isolation is not the best. Even that hotel is adults only, we were listening baby crying from the house next to it. Housekeeping could be better. In our case, they didn't clean area of the balcony and didn't change the towels and sheets. Moreover on the last day, the housekeeping lady entered our room at 7 am, which was not the best experience. The breakfast is very basic.

The hotel is located on the first line to the beach and there are huge amount of cafés, restaurants, shops, touristic agencies, pharmacies, super markets, which is making it to be a perfect location. Check in and check out we very fast. On the beach, even that you need to pay 10 euro for couple of the sunbeds, the hotel is providing free cold water, watermelon and even towel for face refreshment, which was impressive.

The hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options, with different choices available each morning. The beach and poolside food is both tasty and reasonably priced. The hotel is next to the beach and has three pools, providing guests with plenty of choices.
