We liked everything apart from the balcony door curtains :-) They were a bit too cumbersome for summer curtains - if fully closed, the room would become uncomfortably warm, necessitating the use of the included air conditioning. However, we favored the option of enjoying fresh air and chose to keep the curtains open. This arrangement was not without its challenges, as an outside streetlight intruded into the room at night, and the morning sun had the potential to disrupt our sleep. Nevertheless, these minor inconveniences did little to detract from the overall enjoyment of our stay :-) It was beautiful :-)

Our September stay at Filoxenia Hotel & Apartments was nothing short of magical. The accommodation surpassed our expectations, offering a captivating view from the balcony that was truly mesmerising. The gentle sea breeze and the purity of the air added an extra layer of charm to the entire experience. Nestled as the second-to-last building in the village, the hotel exuded tranquillity, providing a haven of peace. The proximity to the beach, a mere 5-minute stroll away, further enhanced the allure of this hidden gem. In the mornings, I indulged in leisurely seaside strolls, followed by delightful breakfasts at one of the cafes along the shore—a routine that felt like stepping into paradise. The hospitality of the hotel's owners was remarkable. Their warmth and friendliness created a welcoming atmosphere, and their attention to detail in maintaining the hotels' pristine condition did not go unnoticed. We loved the authentic pictures on the hotel walls and in our room. Our room was cleaned beautifully each day and the bedding was changed regularly. The staff's friendliness and their commitment to ensuring our comfort made us feel not just like guests, but valued members of a temporary home. It is now November, and I still find my thoughts returning to that beautiful hotel. I wholeheartedly recommend Filoxenia Hotel & Apartments to anyone seeking beaty and tranquillity.

Location is perfect for those seeking quiet, village like atmosphere as its on the verge of town. Stunning views across Poros and the sea. Short walk to the beach, perhaps not exactly suitable for very old or disabled as its through the bushy/pebbly downhill path. Car is almost a must here to be able to zip to town in the morning to get some fresh croissants etc

Everything was lovely - the owners of the hotel were absolutely LOVELY, and obviously take great pride in giving the guests a great experience. AC worked a treat, the balcony was great, parking out front for those who needed it - and a lovely, welcoming garden! I had a 'mountain view' room - I thought that would be a slight annoyance (not being beach view), but it was beautiful, and serene - so I actually really miss my 'mountain view' now!

There was nothing we didn't like. The cooking area is basic with two hobs but perfectly easy for simple meals pasta salad etc and there were so many restaurants to choose from so the mix of eating in and out worked very well. The hill is walkable but very much depends on how fit you are. I would recommend a car as there is so much to see and I think you would miss out on a lot by not having a car.

I loved waking up every morning to the beautiful sea views of Poros. The wonderful sunrises and sunsets. The friendliness of the Property Owners and their family. The apartment being cleaned daily. Good aircon. The short car ride down the hill with the sea view in front. The location of the apartments, being a little bit further out we loved. How quiet it was. It had all the basic necessities that we needed. Having spent the week in Poros and the surrounding area we were very happy with our chosen accommodation, and the area of Poros which we found very laid back and just perfect for us.

The only thing was the cable of the kettle was quite short and you don’t have enough space to prop it properly on the counter. Apart from that everything was great!

The room was very spacious with a balcony, looking out to the sea. Location was great, although we had a car and wouldn’t recommend without a car. Staff were always very friendly and the place was clean. Beds were also comfortable, would definitely recommend Filoxenia to others.

Excellent, clean and quiet place to rest. we were guests of the hotel for 10 days. spacious rooms with all the necessary things. we were surprised that the rooms were cleaned every day. thumbs up for that. the owners are very kind. high recommendation for this wonderful hotel.

you need a car for this location, as it is pretty far from the center, but close to the local beach. otherwise the trip to the center would be pure sport not pleasure...

The room is large and very clean. Everything was functioning. At the first sight you are tempted to say it's poor and basic, but you realize soon that you don't need anything more, so the best word is not necessarily basic but really practical. All the rooms have sea view. The view is outstanding! The balcony is large, too.

Only complain was the wifi, as this was somewhat of a working vacation, and the wifi was very slow and at times did not work. So if you need good wifi best to check on this!

Brilliant sea views from our balcony. Peaceful location yet a short walk to many tavernas and bars for the evening plus free parking outside the apartments. The hosts lent us a parasol to take with us to beaches for the week which was really appreciated!

The hosts are a very nice and friendly family. The rooms are very clean. The seeview is amazing. The beach is at about 10 minutes - attention: is with pebbles so you need swim boots. The kitchen is enough. We could travel from here across the whole isle and are very satisfied with our stay.

Owners were hospitable but the location from shops and restaurants were to far, no transportation to shops or restaurants the only way around is to hire a car taxis we’re not available made numerous phone call unfortunately did not arrive if you are to visit stay in the city

It was soo clean,clinically clean that it felt a bit stark and beds and pillows hard, sheets starched.. so not so comfortable. There were only two (3 of us staying) outside chairs, that again were not the most comfortable to sit and relax in? Air con didn’t work but soon put right as was the shower when broken, although strict restrictions on it’s use!? The air con units are sited on the ground on the balcony, so if next door have theirs on you are then sitting in their expelled heat when enjoying the views on your balcony 😳🥵noisy and very hot! Unfortunately the family who run the hotel don’t really speak any English so communication felt a bit clumsy and awkward and you as a guest have to work out how and what to do things as they don’t tell you anything? You definitely need a car if you stay here as the walk to the town is up/down a 90degree hill on a sharp bend ?!! and the best restaurants are the other end of the town .. a good hours walk !! nothing is quick in Greece in 34 degrees heat! I’ve stayed in better for less money !

The studio was clean and there was a definite sea view. It was cleaned daily and good to have three beds not a sofa bed as often the third bed is in these environments. Definitely quiet and peaceful and off the main drag ,high up on a hill outside the town, views are beautiful.
